Forever was cancelled after just one season on ABC. Upset fans tried to save the series, but their efforts did not keep the series starring Ioan Gruffudd on the air.
Fans can now get ready for the DVD release of the series. Matt Miller teased it was coming two months ago.
According to TV Shows on DVD, the Forever Series DVD will be released by the Warner Archive in 2016. A release date of January 19 has been reported in Canada, but that has not been confirmed as the US release date.

I will absolutely be thrilled to be able to finally have this on DVD. Have been missing it with all the new shows on this fall…none as good as Forever. The best show I had seen in a long time.
If they can bring back Luther after two years and X-Files why not bring back Forever? This was a terrific show. Maybe it was canceled because it actually required some intelligence to watch it? I look forward to viewing the DVD.
Forever was a great family show and was not advertised enough to grow a huge number of followers in that glorious 18-49 category! But we fans know just how wonderful it was especially with all the crap that is now on TT it was truly a gem!
I’m kinda torn by this news. On the one hand, I LOVED Forever, and I always buy the DVDs of series I love (I have quite a collection). On the other hand, I am so pissed at ABC for their treatment of this fine show that I just hate to reward their behavior by giving them my money!! If they couldn’t be bothered to support the show when it was on, why should they get more money now after dumping it? Forever was a show that I made an effort to watch every week. So sorry to see it cancelled. Will buy the DVD when it comes out. Cannot understand why they would cancel such a great show.
Forever… It’s such a fabulous show that never got promoted properly & a lot of overseas viewers, came to it late, after ABC had already decided not to renew… With all the crap that’s being shown on TV these days, Forever was a refreshing change of pace… With intelligent, well written stories, you were drawn into another world with Dr Henry Morgan & zAbe… With every episode, you wanted to find out more about their intriguing relationship, what brought them together & the woman (Abigail) that was their wife & mother… As Henry was solving cases alongside of Detective Jo… Read more »

I was indeed sad to see FOREVER cancelled! Such a fine show should never have been treated the way it has been……….. having a copy (or two) of the dvd will be an honored addition to my collection!!

I just happened on to the middle of season And was wondering why there wasn’t more advertisement of the series if I would’ve known about it I felt it wasn’t on long enough to really make a cancellation I really want this series back and will most definitely by the first season
I am very sad to see Forever cancelled. It eps as a great show, an excellent cast and an outstanding storyline. I sincerely hope some of the bigwigs at ABC network and BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!
I definitely want to add “Forever” to my DVD collection! As sad (and angry) as I was that the series didn’t get renewed, I was bummed also that it didn’t seem to be coming to DVD (I hate when things are only available in digital format–or not at all), and had noticed that a lot of shows that only got one season (like “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” and several others) never seem to go on DVD these days…So, seeing this post was exciting, as I’d luv to get “Forever” on DVD!!!
