TV show description:
A fantasy crime drama, this TV series follows New York City’s star medical examiner — Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), handsome man with a secret past. No matter how hard he tries, Henry can’t age even a single day — he’s immortal. He doesn’t know much about what happens when he “dies” except that everything on him disappears and he reemerges in a body of water, naked.
Henry doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases however. He does it to try to solve the mystery that has eluded him for 200 years — the reason for his own inexplicable immortality.
Henry’s long life has given him remarkable observation skills which impresses his new partner, Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza). This piques her curiosity about who he is. Each new case and their budding friendship reveal layers of Henry’s long and colorful past. Jo’s sharp, no-nonsense instincts and her ability to close difficult cases have given her a tough-as-nails reputation on the force, despite also dealing with the untimely loss of her husband.
Lucas Wan (Joel David Moore) is a twenty-something self-proclaimed “artisan of death” and Henry’s worshipful assistant. He considers mortuary science an art, and Henry its Picasso. After transplanting to New York City from rural Ohio, Lucas worked up the courage to introduce himself to the star medical examiner at a crime scene.
A Brooklyn native, Detective Hanson (Donnie Keshawarz) works alongside Jo and has worked his way up to the NYPD’s elite squad of homicide detectives. He’s a family man who lives with his wife and two children in Queens. Unafraid of bending the rules to get the job done, Hanson is sometimes skeptical of Henry’s talent but often admires its effectiveness.
No one knows Henry better than his best friend and confidant, an antique shop owner named Abe (Judd Hirsch). The keeper of Henry’s immortality secret, Abe’s “carpe diem” philosophy inspires Henry to get more in touch with the beauty of living. Abe is not immortal but he is determined to make the most out of every moment of life.
Episode #22 — The Last Death of Henry Morgan
Henry and Adam have been on a long, unrelenting collision course, which is about to come to a head – possibly bringing about one man’s death – with only Jo standing in the way. Henry and Jo’s murder investigation into a museum worker’s death centers on a priceless missing ancient dagger, which not only ended the life of Julius Caesar, but also killed Adam the first time.
Meanwhile, Adam knows that there is something that Henry fears more than death – that Jo might discover his mystery. The two men tangle in a tumultuous game-changing confrontation.
First aired: May 5, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Forever TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?

I can’t believe ABC cancelled Forever. It was the only show my husband and I watched regularly. I guess it was too clean for their target audience. We are just outside that age range. They will probably replace it with some idiotic show that only appeals to children. What are the rest of us supposed to watch? Please reconsider your decision. Or maybe, like someone else suggested, it will be picked up by someone else? Let’s hope so. Or at least do a wrap up movie so all the questions can be answered. You can’t leave us hanging!!
My family loves this show. We have so little to watch that doesn’t incorporate unnecessary social issues and just presents mysteries. The only show we watch on ABC. Pitting it against another great show…person of interest, might be why the ratings were low. I hope they reconsider
Absolutely loved the show. I didn’t think it should have cancelled.
i loved this show. i was expecting more from “forever”
I am so upset this show was cancelled. A true gentleman as a leading man was a breath of fresh air. Ok, so the sex therapist gal was a bit over the top. However, after pre-screening the shows, I would watch the appropriate ones with my kids. The whole family enjoyed this show. I wish there was a way we viewers could vote. Now with so many ways for people to watch TV shows, how do they know which ones are really good or not? Obviously, they must just go off the Neilson ratings……old technology folks….
We were disappointed to find out that this show was cancelled. There is to much trashy content on TV and then you cancel the shows with thoughtful interesting stories and content such as this program I do not get your thinking on which shows survive and which do not.
Please reconsider reviving the Forever series.
again a great show very upset there is no season 2 again didnt give it a chance big mistake…… but american ninja is ok you guys are stupid for cancelling wonderful shows….
My family and I loved this show and am very disappointed to hear this show was cancelled
this really cannot be happening, why cancel it in the middle of so many answer questions. how is it that adam knows so much about abe’s past, how is he anyway connected to anything. what happened to dr. henry and detective jo. ugh this is why i hate watching new shows only to when you guys want to cancel the series in the middle of everything that its becoming so eager. next time i should just stick with BOOKS because watching series it just a waste of time it always leaves everything in suspends!!! good riddle!!!!
Bring it back! Forever is one of the few decent shows on tv!!!
loved the show there are so many tasteless shows out there that were same ol copy cats of others. this was refreshing and kept you going. would love to see someone else pick up, they would have me watching. they ended with wondering if the secret was going to come out. love to see that!
It is beyond me that the best show on TV was cancelled. I am are not in the demographic group that matters. (60 +)
I find the new shows do not get a fair chance, this show was wonderful, it had it all and it was not a reality show, which was a miracle in its self. Why do you take good shows off and fill the time slot with another useless reality show.
Give this show another chance please. It’s worth it.
Forever was a very good show. The story line, characters and the actors were very memorable. They brought a nice sense of creativity to the story line and the show should been given at least another season to develop a bigger following.
I loved this show. Loved all the knowledge he had learned thru the years. Wanted to see him tell her the truth, Can’t believe good shows continue while other junk survives
It is beyond me that the best show on TV was cancelled. My husband and I are not in the demographic group that matters. (60 +)
We are never asked our opinion. And we find reality shows grotesque and distasteful.
We still hope this wonderful show will be picked up and produced by a group of intelligent and creative minded individuals.
Please consider our request. I think you would find the results to be far greater and rewarding than another sucky reality disaster.
