Friday, October 26, 2012 ratings — Original episodes: Shark Tank, Kitchen Nightmares, America’s Next Top Model, Grimm, CSI: NY, Fringe, Nikita, Dateline, 20/20, and Blue Bloods. Sports and specials: Mockingbird Lane and All Access Nashville. Reruns: NCIS.
On ABC, Shark Tank drew a 1.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.8 million total viewers. Week-to-week, the show was down by 10% in the coveted demo. At 9pm, the network aired the All Access Nashville special which garnered a 1.4 rating with 5.5 million viewers. Compared to last week’s edition of Primetime, the network was down by a tenth of a point. At 10pm, 20/20 attracted a 1.4 rating (0% change) with 5.8 million.
On NBC, the Mockingbird Lane pilot/special drew a respectable 1.5 demo rating with 5.4 million viewers (significantly better than the usual Grimm reruns). The special seemed to have given Grimm a boost to a 1.9 rating (+27% week-to-week) and 6.0 million viewers. Dateline rounded out the night with a 1.5 rating (+15%) and 4.5 million.
On CBS, an NCIS rerun started the night (1.0 rating with 7.4 million) and was followed by an original of CSI: NY which drew a 1.4 rating (+17%) with 10.0 million. Blue Bloods then attracted a 1.4 rating (+8%) with 10.8 million.
On FOX, the return of Kitchen Nightmares drew a 0.9 demo rating with 2.7 million total viewers. Compared to last fall’s opener, the network was down by 44% in the demo (vs a 1.6 rating) and down by 32% in viewership (vs 3.9 million). Fringe followed with a 0.9 rating (-10% episode-to-episode) and 2.6 million.
And on The CW, America’s Next Top Model garnered a 0.4 rating (-33%) with 1.1 million viewers. Nikita then attracted a 0.2 rating (-33%) with 0.8 million.
Keep in mind, these fast affiliate numbers are approximate. The TV series numbers will be updated on the individual show pages when the finals become available.

My daughter and I (she’s 26 and I am 58) watched Mockingbird Lane on DVR and truly liked it. I watched the original Munsters as a kid and really enjoyed that too. True, this is a different “Munsters”from the original but I really did like this new one. I really like the “new” Herman anyway, love him as an actor in anything he does, and we really liked Eddie. He has a really funny demeanor about him and we laughed throughout the hour show. i really hope ya’ll reconsider and make this a full season. Love Grandpa too. This would… Read more »

This happens to be one great line up on primetime on Friday night’s. I enjoy the bunch of shows and more since primetime’s what I mainly watch. I didn’t have the chance to watch as many shows as I wanted with only a few DVRs and TVs. The families not very happy when I use all the TVs to record my shows and they get stuck watching recordings. I was excited when my coworker at DISH told me about the Hopper DVR with the PrimeTime Anytime feature. I can enable the PrimeTime Anytime feature to get the four major networks… Read more »
