As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

This was the best show fox ever had and the only reason I tuned in. I am shocked you cancelled it. I think the show was to real for some people to handle and am sure Los Angeles didn’t want people to view them in that light
At last after like 10 years I get hooked on a show that actually both my wife and I watch together and you are deciding to take it off? Bad Move Fox. It is a great show, haven’t seen something this intense and interesting in a LONG TIME. So why watch Fox now? You just lost a fox watcher.
FOX are you being serious???? cancelling one of the best shows I’ve seen this year on network TV? Of course you are because no one watched FOX this summer but to tune into Gang Related. Ok so we can see that there are a ton of messages telling Fox how much we loved the show, so people are watching. Good point made that summer not a lot of people are at home watching TV, but I’m sure if they aired this in the fall they would see the difference. So here is a question, if so many people are wanting this show to stay why are they getting rid of it ? Anyone? FOX ? ARE YOU READING ANY OF THESES MESSAGES ?
Thats a very good point mate, they should put it out again during the autumn, winter months see how it fairs then, cant believe it didnt get a good rating, I reckon this could be bigger than Prison Break, and The Sopranos easily
This is by far the best show I have seen on tv, I can not believe there won’t be a second season, fox should sell the rights to someone else and get this up and running again, anyone that says they didnt like it need their heads checked, none stop action from start to finish. I for one am very disappointed by this. I am from Ireland and I can tell you that if this was airing here it would be a hit, just like sopranos was here.

This is one of the best shows that I have seen in a long time. The story lines were great from beginning to end. I love the drama and the action. This show has me on the edge of my seat each and every episode. FOX please bring GANG RELATED back. Or someone please pick up the show. Are you serious? I thought the cast ensemble was fantastic and the storues topnotch. Wrong decision Fox. Hope another network picks it up. Maybe it didn’t work in the time slot.
