As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

I think Gang Related was a great show, better then Lastship!! It was non stop action and kept you on the edge of your seat!! I think fox didn’t advertise it well and they aired it over the summer when everyone is busy out of vacation etc… I definitely would have watched the second season. I am probably done watching Fox cop shows because they are good shows but keep getting cancelled. First Almost human and now Gang Related!
I completely agree with everyone’s previous comments. This show was absolutely awesome. It truly does measure up to Breaking Bad or any other cable television show. I was honestly surprised that this show was even airing on FOX because of the content. Although I was excited because I do not have cable television. I need more information on who to write repeatedly and make extremely uncomfortable to demand this show continues!!
What kind of ratings and who does this ratings if not the viewers . Seek a second opinion . Its a great show..
I don’t understand why this show would be canceled. It was one of the best in the summer. All the best shows get canceled. It should be picked up by another network.

i saw this coming after the third episode. i mean the things that they were showing on a local channel was so detailed. i loved it!!! i watched all the 13 episodes from start to begining , in my opinion the homeboy ind. should have gone to HBO, showtime, or even AMC with it before FOX out of all channels. this show is the next best thing after Breaking Bad! if AMC or all the others channels i named were smart or even the writes were smart they would pick it up from were it lift off and/or the writes… Read more »

This was a great show and I an very surprised that it’s being canceled. I think I would have been better on a cable channel. I found out about it at the end of the season and had to watch it on demand. I’m thinking that was the case for alot of people. I asked about the show and many have never even heard of it.
It is an excellent show, different from the standard cop shoes. Why is Fox so stupi? Someone pick it up!! Do the season 2 please!

Im my opinion Gang Related is one the best show were giving on tv. Now they are giving shows dont have a good meaning. This show was realistic. I think fox have poor management starting from on top. They should be fire. It should be pick up by another carrier that can see that it have the potential to be one the greatest series.
