As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

This is so disappointing to hear. I was really looking forward to season 2 to see how everything played out. There were so so many things left hanging. I agree, they always cancel the good shows and leave the stupid ones on forever. They didn’t even give gang related a chance . There is nothing left to watch on Fox

Crap ! Sorry to hear they cancel Gang Related, it was a good show….I was curious on what was going to happen in Season 2…..Can Fox give the rights to TNT or to another Cable Network…
Appalled that FOX would cancel GANG RELATED. This was an excellent series, with each episode building upon the last, and setting new standards for the twists and turns of suspense. Viewers never knew how each deed would affect the other characters on the show, until the inevitable tragedies would appear on screen. What at the outset may have appeared to be a series glamorizing tight-knit and profitable criminal associations, soon showed the intricate webs of deceit, violence, futility, and loss that are inherent in such actions and enterprises. It was just starting to get good. This is one series that had me pissed every time a commercial would come on. We should have a second series.

Why the heck would Dox cancel Gang Releated!??? The show was pretty dsmn good, Tv channels cancel showsWAy too early now a days (especially Fox & big stations). You have to let shows get into a 2nd season, advertise during the “off season”, and play rerun. With all the competition you have to do this and let a show really marinate.. EXAMPLE: BREAKING BAD!
