As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

I loved Gangrelated! This was a great show, full of suspense, drama and plenty of action. I enjoyed all of the actors and their characters. It seems just when things were getting really good and Ryan was on the verge of being exposed I’m hearing Gangrelated is being cancelled. WHY? If the people who conduct the ratings would sit and watch some of the other shows on any channel, I am certain they would realize Gangrelated should continue for many more seasons. The show to me was great, it had a lot of action and a well written story line. It was capitivating towards the end and I would have continued watching season two. I guess 2 million plus viewers is not enough to continue a show, but if another network would pick it up, that would be great.
Incredible show! Thought provoking every episode. Should be brought back for second season.

This is one of the best series on TV. Fox, please premier a season 2. I don’t know how you go about your ratings but gang related is awesome.

I personally enjoyed the show myself, even though I would miss it on the network due to my schedule I was still able to stay up to speed on the show and not miss a beat. I feel like the small loyal fans should count for something, and am sad to see that fox didn’t have the balls to give a two season go….. oh well I guess I will switch my focus to scorpion on CBS.
