Once again, ABC didn’t announce if General Hospital had been renewed for another year but we know the show wasn’t cancelled either. The network just kept the series on the air. Will General Hospital survive to see the 60th season for the 2022-23 network TV season? Could it possibly be cancelled mid-year? How will it do in the ratings? Stay tuned.
Debuting in 1963 on April 1st, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. Actors appearing in the current season include Maurice Benard, Steve Burton, Marcus Coloma, Chad Duell, Michael Easton, Genie Francis, Nancy Lee Grahn, Rebecca Herbst, Roger Howarth, Finola Hughes, William Lipton, Katelyn MacMullen, Sofia Mattsson, Eden McCoy, Sydney Mikayla, Kelly Monaco, Ingo Rademacher, Wes Ramsey, Kirsten Storms, Josh Swickard, Donnell Turner, Cynthia Watros, Maura West, Laura Wright, and Dominic Zamprogna.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The 2020-21 season of General Hospital averaged a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 female demographic with 2.12 million total viewers.

I stopped watching GH when it was evident that the writers weren’t listening to the viewers. The writers are determined to keep Sonny & Nina together, ruining the Sonny characters viewers fell in love with. When I was watching I fast forwarded thru all the Sonny & Nina scenes. Sonny & Carly and Ava & Nicholas belong together.
General hospital has very little respect for their viewers. I have stopped watching after 30 years. Cancel.
Jason needs to come back Carly and sonny need to get back together and more people will watch without reruns

I hate it when Sonny and Carly are not together—Nina needs to go. Bring Jason back and put Sonny and Carly back together. Then GH will be great again. Please do not take it off the air.

I watched GH since Laura was a teen in love with Scotty and I used to love it. Now I read the recaps daily but don’t watch. King of Nepotism Frank Valentini has ruined the show. ABC needs to fire FV, hire Wendy Riche and bring in some new writers to make GH great again!
I have been watching General Hospital for 40 years and I still watch General Hospital. This year I will be 60th years old. I love my General Hospital. I grew up with the soaps
Please keep this show! I think it is the best daytime soap opera. It has the most exciting storylines and characters. I do not understand why it is not at the very top of the ratings. I am a relatively new fan of this show. I find the other soap operas to be relatively stale. GH seems to have the freshest ideas for storylines, even though it is the oldest!
Need to bring back Jason Steve Burton only.And put Carly and Sonny back together And get rid of Nina show is not worth watching anymore since Jason was forced out and they ruined Sonny’s character made him weak
