Is Ghost Hunters ending? Yesterday, star Jason Hawes confirmed the series will leave Syfy at the end of season 11.
Ghost Hunters follows Hawes and Grant Wilson, two paranormal investigators who explore allegedly haunted locations. The unscripted series premiered on Syfy in 2004.
On his Facebook, Hawes said Ghost Hunters was choosing to end their relationship with the network. The reasons why remain unclear:
It doesn’t sound like the series is cancelled however. Hawes hinted at “huge things in the works.” Season 11 of Ghost Hunters is expected to premiere this fall on Syfy.
What do you think? Do you watch Ghost Hunters? Are you sad it’s leaving Syfy?
It has been one of my favorite shows since it began. So hope to see it on another network. I know theDestination Channel is doing a lot of paranormal shows. Maybe there. I hope it shows up somewhere. Would miss the show if doesn’t continue.
I just watched the last episode at Rockwood Museum. This is what your fans live for. You have to continue with Ghost Hunters, be it on another station or what. You can’t leave us hanging like this. I was surprised that you didn’t do your normal “Happy Halloween” stuff, but it was a great episode. So, please, PLEASE, do what you have to but don’t just walk away and leave us wanting for more. We will always want for more. Ghost Hunters is just the best show there is. You have to keep the show going! Thank you for the… Read more »
I don’t know why but none of my comments ever gets posts so instead of posting a long comment, I’ll keep it short.
I have watched Ghost Hunters since the beginning. I thought it would be a fake and I’d just laugh through the first episode and that would be it. Instead I found a group of paranormal enthusiasts who opened my eyes. The Destination America Channel has a decent paranormal line up. Ghost Hunters would do well there. Please e e ease! Give us back the best show on television.
I have watched Ghost Hunters from the very beginning. Even though GH has lost some key investigators I the how not only survived, it flourished. So I know the dismissal by Syfy couldn’t be the rEason for Ghost Hunters to be canceled. The Destination Channel has a good paranormal line up and GH would be an asset. even The Travel Channel has it’s paranormal shows. So PLEASE!! Don’t take Ghost Hunters away from it’s following amateur ghost hunters. I cut my paranormal teeth on Ghost Hunters. I’m already having withdrawal symptoms. Please, sign Ghost Hunters on with another channel. It is… Read more »
oh please, please, please, don’t take away THE BEST & truest show away. I have watched since day one & would love to see it continue. please note where you’re moving to & when
If you will be on another station please let your fans know. We will be looking for an advertisement letting us know where and when we can find you.
I watched the final episode of Ghost Hunters last night and hoped the team was going to share a special “goodbye” footage, but nothing. So, today, I listened to Jason Hawes on Beyond Reality Radio and heard that the TAPS team chose to leave the SyFy Channel for personal reasons, but there’s more to come for the team. I hope this means the team and show will resurface on another channel and “On To The Next” …
So sad Taps is leaving. Our favorite show; we watch it all the time. We will miss the show alot especially Steve and his antics. At leased they didn’t claim to see and hear on every show like otherside claim.
Come on J you know we need you and the crew!! My grandsons grew up watching you, and my sibling’s and their families, we’re still faithful fan’s. If you move to another station PLEASE KEEP FAN’S POSTED ON VIA TV COMMERCIALS TOO!!! Rock on Brother!!!!
I am so sad they are going off the air. My heart breaks a little when I think about it and I’ve tried not to think about it. I think I’ll miss Steve most of all. You guys are the best. Thanks for all the years of ghost hunting you gave me. Without you, I would have never understood what it means to hunt ghosts……
I have been a die hard fan of Ghost Hunters since the first show. TV watching will not be the same without them. I have to say that they have confirmed my belief in ghosts. It has changed my perspective of the afterlife. You guys are outstanding. But with Jason’s comments of things in the works, I am keeping my fingers crossed for the future. Keep up the good work Gentlemen and Ladys.
Yes, I will miss this show a lot. I do hope it is picked up on another station. This show has been one of my favorites. The crew needs to continue on another station so that all of us fans of the show can continue to watch and be amazed .
I have never missed an episode, even repeats. This is the most interesting show ever, to me. It hits home on many aspects, seeing I have had experience with paranormal myself. Be sure to let everyone know if you continue somewhere else.
Personally I hope this means they’ll move to a new channel. I think the only reason I even watch Sy Fy Channel at this point is Ghost Hunters and Paranormal Witness.
I totally agree!! Ghost hunters and paranormal witness ARE the only reasons I watch the syfy channel. I sure do hope they start up another season on another channel, like maybe the travel channel?? Ghost Adventures does well on that channel. Bet Ghost Hunters could do great on that channel.
I agree…If if wasn’t for Ghost Hunters I wouldn’t even watch Syfy…I’ve watched from the beginning…it almost feels like losing family….I hope they continue even if on another channel but, if not I do wish them the best for the future!!
I don’t care if Ghost Hunters leaves the Syfy channel, I do care if they leave T.V. altogether. Ghost Hunters is my favorite show. They are the only reason I am paying for cable T.V. Please keep me informed of the channel, date, and time you will be airing in the future. Seeing how I am on a two year contract with U-verse, I really need something worth watching, and that would be Ghost Hunters. All I have is the U-200, so if you could pick one of those channels, I would be forever grateful.
