Is Good Girls Revolt returning after all? Deadline reports Sony Pictures TV Studios is getting ready to pitch a second season for the cancelled Amazon series.
Set in the 1960s, the historical drama follows a group of young female researchers at a major news outlet who demand fair treatment in the workplace. The cast includes Genevieve Angelson, Anna Camp, Erin Darke, Hunter Parrish, and Jim Belushi.
Amazon cancelled Good Girls Revolt last year and in January, Dana Calvo announced the series would remain cancelled after it failed to find a second home. Now, it looks like there might be another chance for the drama.
According to Deadline, the series’ producing studio, Sony Pictures TV, is now ready to shop a second season after a vocal fan campaign and Amazon boss Roy Price (who cancelled the series) was ousted amid sexual harassment allegations.
But what about the cast? Although the cast’s contracts with Good Girls Revolt have expired, several have expressed interest in returning through social media. On Instagram, Anna Camp posted an article in support of another season:
What do you think? Have you seen Good Girls Revolt? Would you watch a second season?
Love the show and definitely would watch a second season.
cancelling only proves the show has merit and needs to be continued ….2021 and we re still fighting for what we want , like second season of a show all woman want to watch and men who are probably the reason why they cancelled it
No question—the “good girls” got harrassed, mistreated, and sexually abused in Season 1 and when they found their voice in the last episode, they got cancelled? I think of this show as the TV metaphor for the whole #metoo movement. NOT giving this show a second season, if it’s possible, seems ludicrous to me. Seriously… take off your panties, but don’t open your mouths? Just an embarrassment for any network that let that happen. This wrong can be righted!
Amen! The first season was not only timely, it was terrific! This is a show that really needs continuation,
