When Gotham debuted, it looked like a solid ratings hit for FOX. Unfortunately, the ratings declined and dropped about 50% by the end of the season. Will they continue to fall in season two? Will the series be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.
A dark crime drama, Gotham tells the early stories of police detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and iconic Gotham City characters — before they became legendary crimefighters, villains. and vigilantes. The rest of the cast includes Donal Logue, Morena Baccarin, Michael Chiklis, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova, Zabryna Guevara, Cory Michael Smith, Victoria Cartagena, Andrew Stewart Jones, and John Doman.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

What do you think? Do you still like the Gotham TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Comic book action brought to screen.Fox should do more to promote the show.A strong cast of actors and so many nefarious villains.Looks really promising for the future given strong plots.,Really hope the ratings pick up and the show continues into season 3
Gotham is a thrill ride from start to finish. What a beautifully done, dark series it is and the characters are provocative and intense.
I truly hope it is renewed because there are not enough shows like it on TV. So unique !
Keep it coming please !!
Gotham started out great just like last season. It is so inconsistent. I’ll hate an episode but give it one more chance. Then the next episode is a good one. Then, I’m disappointed again. I’ll be surprised if there is a season 3.
Looking at FOX overall, Gotham is a 100% coming back. The ratings have been steady for them.
I liked the first few episodes of season 2 it was looking like it was gonna be great. Then they killed Jerome and the story went to crap and got so chessy I couldnt bear to watch it anymore. I am done with the show for good now havnt watched it and do not intended to ever again.
I love the show! I don’t give a damn if you don’t like it! So what it’s not playing off the comics, I’m a big comic book fan and I’m not complaining! Not all shows or movies will be 100% based on the comics. The show is really good and I can’t wait to see more. I hope its renewed for a third season!
I am disappointed by season 2. Too much ugliness for shock value. Stupid.
Also, many “good” characters have turned bad. Too many.
My favorite character is Harvey, Gordon’s partner. Probably because he is likable, funny, and dependable….and a seasoned actor.
The less time Harvey and the Bruce Wayne story are a part of the show, the less I will watch.
Last season was much better.
The first half of Season One was well crafted and seemed like it would be a great way to explore the origins of Gotham City and the Batman mythos. Perhaps because it had to be written to fill a large season order the writing finesse stumbled. The whole Doll Maker/ Fish Mooney arc ended up being pointless and the character of the Riddler ended up being an unscarred Two-Face. The characters of Montoya and Allen (who should have been too young to be on the force, or at least Montoya) which offered diversity aside from the captain and who should… Read more »
I had the same exact feeling getting stupid and just going for shock value, I guess from what i read penguin riddler will be making out a some point just stupid shock value and no real purpose.
The show sucks. S1 was tolerable…but now its off the rails. None of the characters resmble the characters. Call the show something else and be done with it.
The show has gotten way too violent. I enjoyed it in the beginning, but the emphasis away from Bruce Wayne has spoiled the show.
This is one show that started out w/an interesting idea… but got soooo ridiculous… And the worst character? The Jada Pinkett Smith one…. what does she have to do w/the Batman story?
If you must keep this show going, get rid of her character.
Gotham is excellent I hope it lasts for many , many ,many seasons.
GOTHAM is terrific the cast is amazing especially with the addition of CAMERON MONAHAN FROM SHAMLESS! ( he plays the gay bipolar son on shamless and is outstanding in the role!) I sure he will standout here as the crazy firery red head killer!
I don’t understand these numbers. Gotham is a fantastic show… Like most, it struggled to find its identity in the beginning of S1 but by the end it was firing on all cylinders. This S2 premiere was literally the best possible premiere fans could have asked for. I hope to see Gotham’s numbers go up, FOX is floundering in general and Empire is their saving grace. Switch nights if they have to… Give Gotham the strong lead in and GET THESE NUMBERS UP.
My brother and I love this show and we’re both in our 40’s, but we’re curious… We record all of our shows on the DVR and then watch them the next day or whenever. Hope those of us who DVR shows or watch them On Demand are getting accounted for.
I stopped watching Gotham during the second half of season one. It wasn’t doing anything for me. However, I gave season 2 a try and liked the first show. I will be checking in again.
