John Stamos has been on many TV shows over the years. Some ran for many seasons while others were cancelled pretty quickly. How will FOX’s Grandfathered do in the ratings? Will it be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
On Grandfathered, successful restaurateur and lothario Jimmy Martino (Stamos) has his world turned upside down when the son he never knew he had, twenty-something Gerald (Josh Peck), appears with his young daughter, Edie. Jimmy learns he’s both a father and a grandfather in one day.The rest of the cast includes Paget Brewster, Christina Milian, Kelly Jenrette, and Ravi Patel.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/12 update: FOX has cancelled Grandfathered after one season. Details here.
5/11 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Grandfathered TV show on FOX? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I LOVE “Grandfathered”! I think it is very smart humor, well written, and very enjoyable to watch. Please renew!!!!
Please renew Grandfathered I LOVE that show!
I love it, was it already canceled or? If episode 19 was the last of the season, that really sucks…I hope it comes back on soon!
Watch it for the 1st time last night. It took me awhile to figure out who the main character is. He is still a very handsome guy. I did not care much for the show, but I am going to tell my mom to watch it.
Great show. Love it!
Great show! Love it!
Stamos is clinging to his youth, but he clearly is a man in his 50’s. They need to add a “hot” male character to the show that will appeal to an audience under 30. They currently don’t have one,
Ummmmm two words; Josh Peck
Josh Peck is a funny actor, but I would not describe him as a “hot” guy that is going to draw women age 18 to 35.
I love the show and its dynamic! I do agree that there are lull moments, but for the most part it is quite entertaining….that being said I believe the other cast members should be a more elevated than just Stamo’s character. There is a great group of cast members here and there talents should be put to more use as well! Fingers crossed for a continuing next season! Iz6qp
I watched Grandfathered last night to see if it got any better and lost interest after 5 minutes. I can channel surf to the middle of a show like “Two and Half Men” or “Big Bang” and get hooked in a minutes…but not on this show???
This show and Grinder have excellent writers! Renew and new time day?
I think it should get a season 2. I really like it! I think its a cute show and deserves to return! Fun
This show is using diversity and a slew of guest stars to cover up a weak cast and not very interesting storyline. I like the cast of Full House much better because they all seemed totally committed to the show. Most of this cast all have other careers and this show seems like a vehicle to advance their other interest – and it shows!
John Stamos has to carry the whole show with his looks. The baby seems like a prop. I don’t feel a bond between the cast members. Basically, the whole cast is there to support Stamos. He does not seem to have a connection with the baby which is surprising since Stamos has stated in numerous interviews he wants to date children of his own. I enjoyed the tender relationship Stamos had with the Olsen twins on Full House. He has not recreated that here. I am not finding the potential relationship between him and Paget Brewster believable even though she… Read more »
I absolutely love this show, it is a mixture of comedy, drama, romance, and yet still has extremely realistic and relatable point of views. If you’re a “Full house” fan you get to see “Uncle Jessie” differently but it’s a good different. Although he appears “hard” and “heartless” with commitment issues he actually stills has this kind and nurturing lovable self to him. I think this show does an excellent job expressing the importance of family. The audience starts to see that maybe being a bachelor can only go so far until you start to want and need that family… Read more »
I think I expected too much out of it for some reason. It’s cute but it’s just not groundbreaking enough to be on air. Just felt like any other sitcom or whatever. I personally think it should be cancelled. But then again people do like their easy to watch tv. I however like mine with more depth to it. But again, it’s a cute show that makes you happy and a lot of people like that stuff.
