After years of fighting for ratings, Grimm doesn’t have to worry about being cancelled this time around. It’s already been announced that the NBC series is ending and won’t be back for a seventh season. Will Grimm’s ratings continue to fall this time around or, will they see a resurgence? Stay tuned.
On Grimm, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) continues to fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. The rest of the NBC cast includes Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bitsie Tulloch, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee. Recurring performers include Chris McKenna, Jacqueline Toboni, and Danny Bruno.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/1 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The fifth season of Grimm on NBC averaged a 0.89 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.94 million viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Grimm TV series on NBC? Do you think it should be ending or would you watch season seven?
I just watched the finale because I was working Friday and Saturday. Is that it? Nick hits the wall and it’s over? Did I miss something? What the heck?
This is one of my family’s favorites, and we use it for together time that also includes friends. Not only would we watch it, there are some obvious story arch directions that will be slighted by this choice. Since it stayed in the top 3 consistently and average viewership of ~4 Million was maintained, there is more to its end than someone is saying. Very disappointing.
The top 3 of what? It wasn’t beating out Hawaii Five O. The ratings were under a 1.0 last season, and they are under that this season. Hawaii Five O is actually doing better than it did last season. The Blacklist and Blindspot are having awful seasons and both of their ratings are better than Grimm. If you want to be sad, be sad that the ratings dropped as the years went by until it was under a 1.00.
Grimm has some of the most intriguing characters and effects I’ve seen in a while . It is one of the few shows that have drawn me in and kept me on the edge of my seat pulling for my favorite characters. I believe there is a great deal further this show could take its viewers on in their daily struggles with the Wesson world. I would DEFINITELY watch a 7th season and DVR it to watch again.
I can’t believe they are taking Grimm off the air. I’ve been a loyal viewer since season 1 epis.1
I’m bet disappointed in this. I hope they use the stick and bring back Woo and Hank!!!!!!. I’m almost in tears.
Just watched last nights episode of Grimm. Love this show!!! Next friday is season finale. Noooo! I’m not ready to let this show go. The mix of world history, medieval, fantasy & biblical prophecy makes it interesting yet not predictable. The actors keep a low media profile & it hasn’t relied on bare skin or sex to promote it. I’m not ready to close the book!!! Anyone else agree?
WHY! Why are they cancelling this series?!?!? It is my favorite show and now it is going away! THAT SUCK!
I love this show ! I hope that Netflix will pick it up!
I love this show and hope some other channel will pick it up!!
I am a huge fan of Grimm. The story is fun and entertaining. The props are super cool. The makeup is really good. And the acting is intense. I’m blown away with how the writers explain so many legends and tie them to wesen. Every season has been excellent. I will be sad to watch the last show. It’s been a great journey and I know it will end up becoming a classic for many to enjoy who haven’t seen it yet. I was telling my wife, I would love it if they made movies. I’m sure in a couple… Read more »
I defenetly will watch more seadons. The Grimm zhow is great! I’d like to season 7 -15 of it! The stories based on legends from entire World.
Why end a great show with decent ratings. Probably one of NBC’s higher rated shows. This would be a Great show for Hulu, Amazon, or Netflix to pick up for a seventh season
Go to NBC’s ratings board on this site and see how PATHETIC the ratings are. This is one of NBC’s WORST RATED SHOWS!
NBC screwed up by ending the best showay on TV. I will never watch #NBC programming ever again.
If they brought it back I would watch season 7.
So bummed that Grimm is not continuing on. We love watching it and it has a lot of possible dialog left to show. Please reconsider!! We would DEFINITELY watch season seven.
I and my wife love this series.
Enjoyed Grimm so much!! However as always the “little bean counters” will end a Great show. Maybe we will be fortunate and another network will continue where the short sided individuals foresake us.
My husband and I look forward to watching the Grimm series. I can’t believe it’s ending. We’re very upset we won’t be able to watch a great show anymore. Well, another good one bites the dust, as usual.
