There’s a little good news for fans of NBC‘s cancelled sitcom Growing Up Fisher. The network is finally getting around to airing the last two episodes.
Growing Up Fisher follows an unorthodox family that becomes closer after the parents divorce. The cast includes Elfman, J. K. Simmons, Eli Baker, Ava Deluca-Verley, and Lance Lim. Jason Bateman is the show’s narrator.
The show was cancelled earlier this month due to low ratings. The network only ordered 13 episodes of the mid-season replacement series and the last two episodes have been scheduled and then bumped twice.
The peacock network has now made room for the final episodes on Wednesday, June 11th, at 8pm. They’ll be followed by an NBC News special called “The People VS. O.J. Simpson: What the Jury Never Heard.”
Here are the episode descriptions:

What do you think? Ae you a fan of this series? Will you watch the last two episodes?
Zoo is another bad idea animals putting off the whatever I have to do to live to kill off all the people they are more instinct then intellect we as humans are the other way around.
At least they are not doing what C.B.S. is doing Limitless you think we only use 10% of our brains that the full of our sences and all that other stuff spin off of a dumb movie that should never have been made a drug to use all your brain.
The show Marry Me is crap.
They cancelled Growing Up Fisher for Marry Me a good show for crap
It was a good show then they got rid of it for Marry Me a show I call crap.
I look forward to watching the last two episodes of Growing Up Fisher and am very disappointed about the show being cancelled. It is enjoyable to watch wholesome family shows.
Couldn’t agree more with the comments above, good show, funny, sorry to see it go! Loved the characters, great story, all around great family show.
Most of new shows are being canceled because of numbers being down. It’s going to get worse. They have to pull these shows to make room for the football games. I’m sure they make much more money from the games. Even the few good shows that are on are being pushed all over the place, which means that someone else has to go.
Disappointing I really looked forward to this show. It was funny and well done. They didn’t give it a chance to get noticed and then it was gone. We need more shows like this one that make you feel good!
I just found out that Growing up Fisher is being cancelled. This was a great show (funny and family oriented). It’s not about the quality of shows these days. Some shows aren’t being given enough time to develop a following. I’m going to be watching less TV.
I really liked this show more than most any new show in years. A family comedy type show. Just like the old days. They didn’t give it a chance. I hope someone picks it up.
Most of the prime time comedies right now are nothing more than a half hour of people insulting each other, with canned laughter to make you think it’s funny. Or reality shows that are no more reality than Santa Clause. If the camera crew can climb the mountain with all the gear, why is it so hard for the paid actors to climb the mountain.
There are not many shows I look forward to any more, but this was one. Another network disappointment. Cancel something enjoyable and a little bit different, so you can fill the slot with more of the same old yuk. Thanks, NBC.
I agree with Karen and Susan. I was looking forward to the new season and am very disappointed that the show was cancelled. It is hard to find anything good on TV to watch.
So dumb… Another creative show that doesn’t get a fair chance. I am watching this recorded … Its fantastic… What a shame
Our cable company was in dispute w/network over rates so only just started
viewing this series this weekend (7/19). Loved this program. I watched every episode one after the other on DVR. Very disapointed that series was cancelled!
So sad that wholesome family entertainment gets cancelled and garbage reality
programming is renewed.
I couldn’t agree more! I’m sure there will be more crime-show dramas and reality TV to come. Gone are the days when you can sit down and watch anything with your children. Anything that does come along that is okay to watch with your kids get canceled. Anything that is funny and well-written isn’t given a fair chance if the ratings aren’t immediately through the roof. It’s total BS.
