Jenna Elfman’s last NBC sitcom, 1600 Penn, only lasted one short season because of low ratings. Will Growing Up Fisher be cancelled as well or will it be renewed for a second season instead? Stay tuned.
Growing Up Fisher follows an unorthodox family that becomes closer after the parents divorce. The cast includes Elfman, J. K. Simmons, Eli Baker, Ava Deluca-Verley, and Lance Lim. Jason Bateman is the show’s narrator.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/9 update: Growing Up Fisher has been cancelled by NBC.
Final season averages: 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.88 million total viewers.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like Growing Up Fisher? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for second season?
NO! Can’t believe that they are cancelling this show! It is great family entertainment!
The problem is that they have not promoted the show. I found it by accident and had to catch up On Demand. Maybe Fox would have given it a better shot – they keep renewing New Girl for some reason.
Well, at least they kept Blacklist and About a Boy. So, at least I can watch NBC for an hour and a half a week. Then back to CBS where entertainment still means something
I’m very sad. Excellent show, writers and cast. Big mistake NBC taking away a great family show that we can take a valuable life lesson away each episode. Bring it back. My favorite show in years.
Bring Growing up Fisher back! I caught on to the show late but couldn’t stop watching on the NBC app! NBC this is a bad bad move!
Please please being this show back! It’s practically the only thing I could watch with my kids!
Bad move NBC. This was a wonderful family show. BOO to u.
I love this show…my kids and I watch it together each week. Please do not cancel this show…love the cast and just a fun show to watch.
Seriously??? This is the fault of whoever decided the time slot. The audience that should have been targeted is famiies with elementary age childern. The time needed to be earlier. This is an excellent show, don’t cancel it because it is your fault.
This is one of my favorite shows, a lot of people Ihave said that they won’t watch NBC if they cancel “Growing Up Fisher.” It would break a lot of hearts.
I would love to see this show for a second season. Me and my grand daughters watch this show.please keep it on.
Great family show, it would be a shame to cancel it!
Please do not cancel this great family series! It’s not like the rest of the crap you air!
Please don’t cancel this wonderful family show! My 13 year old Grandson and I love watching this series together! It will break our hearts!
what a shame to cancel a great family show. I have watched since the beginning and loved the humor of the family. A great true story brought to the screen for us to enjoy. No sex,bad language or improper dirty scenes. Think NBC, or do you just love grim, exotic tv shows for this generation to have to see. Gone of the days of Lassie, etc.
We can’t believe they announced the cancellation of this show. It may have have low ratings, but it’s one of the funniest and well written sit-coms currently being aired! Maybe given a little longer and better marketing, this show would have survived. Shame on you guys!
love this family show, my 8 year old can actually watch something on prime time with no sex or violence…please don’t cancel
For a change a real family tv program and they are going to cancel it WHY probably because it doesn, t have sex or violence on it. Bring it back as it sure beats a lot of theother garbage on tv.
