Home Inspector Joe is coming soon to HGTV. Starring licensed home inspector Joe Mazza, the new series will share home inspection secrets, checklists, and solutions, to help viewers have some peace of mind when purchasing a new home.
HGTV revealed more about the upcoming series in a press release.
“With 20 years in the New York City construction business, a sixth sense for safety and a family of his own to protect, licensed home inspector Joe Mazza is driven to keep his clients from buying risky, unsafe properties in the new HGTV series Home Inspector Joe. Premiering on Wednesday, January 19, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the series will feature Joe, his go-to designer Noel Gatts and his home-buying clients as they tour properties they love. Buyers around the country need every edge they can get in today’s red hot seller’s market and in every episode of Home Inspector Joe, Mazza will reveal the secrets, checklists and solutions that can help.
“Joe is the fearless superhero we all want when we’re buying a house,” said Jane Latman, president, HGTV & Streaming Home Content, Discovery, Inc. “It’s easy to fall in love with a home’s potential, but with his signature humor and heart, Joe makes sure his clients’ eyes are wide open as they look to create their dream home.”
Clients who want peace of mind and reliable, worry-free homes that are gorgeous inside and out, count on Joe. In the series opener, he will help buyers Matt and Giovanna by inspecting two potential properties to suss out hidden problems that require immediate attention. Once critical repairs are made, Noel will open up the home’s layout to create a spacious, budget-friendly kitchen and dining area that’s perfect for entertaining. Throughout the series, Joe’s keen eye for safety hazards will identify issues from leaky chimneys and fireplaces to musty odors and mold.
“I treat every home like my own family will live there,” said Joe. “My clients are going to know more about the house than the people who are selling it. I will leave no stone unturned. I’m not a typical inspector.”

I will definitely be watching Home Inspector Joe!!!
Just watched episode 6 season 1 OMG WHAT A TOTAL FRAUD!!! “INSPECTOR JOE” destroyed the stone wall facade, by undermining the concrete slab foundation.
Owner Marlin. I hope you didn’t really have to pay. Terrible!
So just watching a home inspector Joe episode where they remove a concrete slab and the exterior stone failed /dropped and the comment is that the wall ties failed or lack of Unfortunately removing the slab and not supporting the gap was the cause the wall ties would only impact the stone from falling away from the building I hate when these tv shows and personalities really have no construction knowledge And comment about costing 5o k that the home owner had to pay when removing the slab under the stone veneer was the issue Please tv get your ****… Read more »
Help, please! I have leaks, and my modular home is falling in. My husband was recently diagnosed with stage 3 Adenocarcinoma and is currently undergoing chemo and radiation. He is now unable to address the problem, and I fear the home isn’t going to last much longer. Part of one floor has already caved in and another is about to. We have no money due to his circumstances, and I don’t know what to do at this point.
This show is a complete joke this guy misses everything then works with the contractor to fix everything this has fraud written all over it…
Wait until you see episode 6. He undermines the exterior stone work and it literally falls off the house which cost the homeowner $45k. Joe blames the original installer for no stone ties which is definitely wrong but joe never addresses the fact that when he removed the concrete slab he destroyed the structural support.
I never write reviews but had to this time. Just watched the first episode. We are located in Canada. Safety first? Up on the roof and not tied on. Tearing out mould in the ceiling with no eye protection, gloves or a mask Hmmmm Liked the end result with the decorating
I watched the first episode of “Joe Inspector” after having experienced lousy inspections and the financial consequences, I was hoping to learn something. Unfortunately, his recommendations for handling of the basement mold was disappointing. As soon as I saw it, I suspected a leak (either active or previous) as the cause. This should have been emphasized prior to purchase – not at the tear down because a $2000 estimate wouldn’t have touched what could have been present.
I bought my 65 Year old family home and remodeled it 10 years ago.I was born and raised in this house. Unfortunately, ever since the remodel, I have had nothing but electrical and plumbing issues. I have tried many handyman/contractors and they just tell me to work with it. I have spent over $150k on the remodel. I know there’s something not right. I love this home and this is the home my choose to retire in with my wife and share and continue to make many happy memories with our great children as well as leave the house to… Read more »
