What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Kevin Can Wait revolves around Kevin Gable (Kevin James), a newly retired police officer. After 30 years on the force, he’s looking forward to relaxing and spending quality time with his wife (Erinn Hayes) and their young kids (Mary-Charles Jones and James DiGiacomo). That plan goes awry when his elder daughter (Taylor Spreitler) and her fiance (Ryan Cartwright) move in. As a result, Kevin’s retirement dreams get put on hold. Kevin’s friends are played by Leonard Earl Howze, Gary Valentine, and Lenny Venito.

Telly’s Take
Kevin James starred on the successful Monday night sitcom The King of Queens for nine seasons, producing more than 200 episodes. CBS was hoping to strike Monday night gold again with Kevin Can Wait. The series had a very positive launch with a 2.6 rating in the demo and 11.08 million viewers, thanks in part to having The Big Bang Theory, CBS’ most popular comedy, as a lead-in. Kevin continued to do well — for awhile. Once Big Bang returned to Thursdays, the ratings for Kevin Can Wait saw a big drop and it’s not looking like a big hit any longer. Things aren’t looking so rosy but I suspect CBS will still renew it for a second season. The television vulture is watching closely.

What do you think? Are you happy that Kevin Can Wait TV show has been renewed for a second season? How would you feel if had CBS cancelled this TV series instead?
Oh my, is this show still on? It is very painful to watch… What a huge disappointment, but I was hoping for more “KOQ” actually, with a whole bunch of funny characters and side stories – and Leah. She was a great strong character for “Doug.” This wife in this show seems like a big sister, who actually seems to not even really like Kevin that much but tolerates him. Ew, just painful…
I LOVE THE SHOW “KEVIN CAN WAIT” – I WOULD BE DISSAPOINTED IF IT WAS CANCELLED – THIS IS JUST ABOUT ONE SHOW THAT IS CLEAN IN COMEDY, JUST PLAIN CLEAN AND FUNNY
PLEASE KEEP “KEVIN CAN WAIT” GOING!!
I would be very disappointed if Kevin can wait was cancelled. I have enjoyed Kevin since King of Queens as well as his brother Gary Valentine. I enjoy the rest of the cast as well. It is a very relatable show.

the cbs tv sitcom; kevin can wait has been renewed for season two.
I look forward to this show. It started strong and continues to grow: Nice ensemble, interesting characters, strong writing, unique plots and one of the most likeable physical comedians ever. Please renew!
Tried to watch this but it wasn’t even funny.how this guy on a perfect time prime time is unreal. Maybe that’s why they put this on time they did. Because it wouldn’t make it. Otherwise.
Kevin can wait but I can’t stand this stupid show. Kevin James has lost his fast ball and is terrible
Renew for season 2 , great show
What I don’t understand about this show, is why they think people want more episodes of this.? Highest ratings? The ratings actually look terrible!I mean really, these days more people watch it free on the Internet then actually on television networks. The show is just garbage just because his name had success with other shows doesn’t mean everything this guy has his name of genius written show. If CBS cancels the man with the plan and keeps this piece of crap and I’m not watching anymore of this networks television.
Man with a plan , and odd couple likeyable. Reason why they on later time. This show needs to be on this time because it lacks there for.cbs knows this put this on time it would get must rating possible.cant blame cbs because otherwise it wouldn’t make in the first season.
agree! Man with a Plan is funny! Kevin can wait ended when Erin left.
I’m a big fan of “The King of Queens” and own the entire series in a boxset, but “Kevin Can Wait” feels like a very poorly executed version of James’ old TV series and the side characters are unrelatable and boring. Even Kevin’s brother, Gary Valentine, who was also in “The King of Queens” and is now on this show, isn’t that good.
With that being said, if this show gets renewed for a 2nd season, I’ll be really surprised.
Kevin James is great! Renew for 2nd season.
Dumb show, tired comedy. Cancel.
RENEW for season 2!
