FOX is doubling down on laughter. In addition to picking up Ghosted today, FOX has also ordered the LA to Vegas TV show to series. The new comedy stars Ed Weeks, Dylan McDermott, Kim Matula, Nathan Lee Graham, Olivia Macklin, and Peter Stormare.
Writer Lon Zimmet, executive produces LA to Vegas with Steve Levitan, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Chris Henchy and Owen Burke.
While the news is not yet posted to the FOX press site, Deadline reports:
The low-key script got a major boost when Steve Levitan came on to direct and Dylan McDermott was cast as the pilot. But the project then struggled to cast the lead until locking in Ed Weeks at the last minute after his series The Mindy Project set an end date.
Written by Lon Zimmet, the single-camera LA to Vegas is an ensemble workplace comedy about an airline crew and the eccentric passengers who, every weekend, take the roundtrip flight from Burbank to Las Vegas with one goal in mind: to come back a winner.
Before publication, The Futon Critic uploaded a couple of LA to Vegas TV show photos. Check them out.
What do you think? How do you like the sound of the LA to Vegas TV show? Do you think you’ll check out the FOX TV series premiere?
Saw the trailer and it was horrible. I can’t believe you would put something this stupid on. And you talk about respecting women and the blonde quits, gets drunk and screws some guy in a filthy bathroom, yeah right.
this show is awesome
