Word is circulating today that Legend of the Seeker has been cancelled after two seasons. There hasn’t been an official announcement yet but it doesn’t look like there will be a third season.
Legend of the Seeker is a fantasy series about a young woodsman (Craig Horner) who discovers he is actually destined to be a heroic Seeker. The series also stars Bridget Regan, Bruce Spence, Craig Parker, and Kevin J. Wilson.
Things haven’t been looking so good for the syndicated series for awhile. The ratings had dropped and, last month, the Tribune company (which owns a lot of local stations that air LOS) decided not to pick it up for a third year.
ABC Studios and show producers said that the show had not being cancelled yet and that the studio was searching for other local stations to fill in for the Tribune stations.
There had been unofficial word that that process was going well. However, now it seems that ABC couldn’t find enough takers for LOS.
Sad as this news might be, it doesn’t come as a big surprise. The season’s viewership started at about 2.5 million in November and the April 10th episode barely brought in two million. That’s not an attractive trend for a new buyers.
Hopefully, the producers will be able to include some degree of closure to the final episode.

I can see why the ratings dropped. People will not support the twisted stuff the last few episodes were about. Too bad, because it started out great. Later, they lost me as a viewer.

I can’t believe it. They should at least make another season to finish the story. Really was great. Makes me mad when they leave cliff hangers. And almost all good fantasy shows just stop making seasons. Make another PLEASE!!

I watch this show more than 5 time over and over and this is one of the best show I have watch. I am been waiting to for season 3 for 7 and it not fair that one of the best show in this world gets cancelled.
I have just finished watching the show and there are a lot more things you can do to it.A season 3 would do just that, also the viewers are still loyal after nearly 9 years.That’s not something any show can accomplish.We are all looking forward to a season 3!!!
Extremely sad that a season 3 won’t be airing. I love this show, I have binge-watched the series again and again over the years and I still love it to death. I wished they would start showing the series on Swedish television so more Swedes could appreciate this godgiven serie.
The legend of the seeker was a very good show. But for some reason you let a difference of 500,000 people cancel it. There were 2 million viewers that consistently watched it. And there are a number of people that get screwed over because a lot off people don’t watch fantasy. And let a name throw then off. I myself made the mistake with the secret circle. Which turned out to be a very good series.
With thousands of choices on TV I find that there are few programs I truly enjoy and looks forward to, season after season. I stumbled on LOS and binge-watched the first 2 seasons. I couldn’t stop watching them anymore than I could put the 50 Shades trilogy down. I’ve been waiting for the LOS season 3 and now learning that it may be canceled. I’m truly upset over this news. This episode of legend of the seeker does not show here in Knoxville Tn. We was given the first season and we watched it. Then bought the second we would loved the rest of it. This is an amazing show

I am actually really annoyed and disappointed.. I actually found a show i could call my favorite and now i have none again.. I just rewatched it again and i just need a 3rd season.. Why cant those 2 million viewers still enjoy it.. Who cares about the other 500,000 downers.. Whats that compared to 2 million faithful watchers who loved it.. If my opinion actually mattered i would fight for this to come back.. There isn’t any other show like it.. Im frustrated..
i totally agree like this show is extra .. considering its 2017 and i still enjoy something from 2009 these guys should bring back legend of the seeker it’s honestly the best show ave ever watched.
