While the second season of Legend of the Seeker is still airing, a significant decision has already been made about the possibility of season three.
Legend of the Seeker is a fantasy series about a young woodsman (Craig Horner) who discovers he is actually destined to be a heroic Seeker. The series also stars Bridget Regan, Bruce Spence, Craig Parker, and Kevin J. Wilson.
The show is produced by ABC Studios and airs in syndication, primarily running on stations owned by the Tribune Company. The show debuted on November 1, 2008 and was renewed for second season after just 10 episodes had aired.
Season two kicked off on November 7, 2009 and now, after 13 episodes have aired, Tribune has decided they’ve had enough. According to KsiteTV and a representative of Tribune, the show’s ratings haven’t been good enough for them to renew Legend of the Seeker for season three.

While ABC has not made an announcement that the show has been cancelled, the Tribune Company represents a large percentage of stations that carry the series. ABC will have to do a lot of legwork to get it picked up by enough other stations.
The big questions are if the ratings are good enough for other stations to want to pick up the show and if the revenue will warrant ABC keeping the show going.
Co-Executive Producer Mike Sussman isn’t ready to give up just yet. Yesterday, he twittered a photo his show’s hero with his favorite Mark Twain quote, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.”
The remaining episodes of season two kick off on March 20th.

Save our Seeker!! I’m so very tired of watching one Police show after another.
It was a nice to see a well acted fantasy for a change. The cast was wonderful.
Please do reconsider any thoughts of cancellation.
yeahhh ARE YOU KIDDING ME OF COURSE.I CANT JUST LEAVE IT,its a really good acted and set up show epically in hd! don’t drop it really amazing show really!and alot of people watch it but its bc there are not appropriate parts that kids can watch in the room with you so everyone kind of watches it on hulu.com or youtube after it ares you know?but count the hulu rates it will blow your mind.its just people miss it or like cant watch it but AMAZING SHOW KEEP IT UPP!
To everyone who really loves this show; read the books. And most likely if you had read the books first you’d not have liked the show near as much. For this show to have done well it would have needed to be more like the Lord of the Rings trilogy and less like the Hercules and Xena: Warrior Princess tv series’. The Seeker should definitely continue to the end of the story. I love watching the fantasy. We need to discontinue some of the garbage like the biggest loser. Please continue with the series. Don’t let another great series disappear.
I started watching this series last year as i wasnt aware of it till then. It’s an amazing show. I REALLY like it and i truly hope it continues for more seasons to come!
Legend of the Seeker should definitely continue it is one of the greatest series of all time! What more could you want from a show. It has a hero who chooses between right and wrong, and always fights for justice no matter what others think. There is adventure, true love, great fight scenes and so much great entertainment I can’t possibly imagine why they would not want to continue. Firefly, The Pretender, Sarah Connor, Space Above and Beyond, Dead Like Me, and the granddaddy of them all, which thanks in part to syndication, proved to the world that the television program executives are not as savvy as they would like others believe becoming the biggest of all franchises ever on television. i belive that it should continue, my freinds and i all love the show and there is still so much more that can be told about the story. Pls dont stop this show!!!
This show shouldn’t be cancelled until the stories of the books are covered. We can have way too many horrible seasons of reality shows and police dramas so why not a great fantasy story? I love the books and I love the show even more.

oh, and maybe getting this to a weekday instead of a weekend. Weekends people are out and about, and unless they DVR or Tivo it, maybe not a lot of people will tune in. Getting it on during the week may get even more people to watch
