The game is over. The Let’s Ask America game show, which was developed for Scripps by Telepictures, has been cancelled after three seasons on the air.
Currently hosted by Bill Bellamy, Let’s Ask America is a daily half-hour game show that polls citizens about fun and irreverent topics to find out what they’re thinking. Contestants can compete from their own homes.
A Scripps spokesperson told Broadcasting & Cable “In reviewing the data after three seasons of the game show, we see that the audience affinity settled at a level that is below where we want it to be.”
The List, The Now, and RightThisMinute — Scripps’ three other original first-run shows — will remain on the air and in production.
What do you think? Do you like this game show? Are you sorry that it’s been cancelled?
Sorry you have cancelled “Let’s Ask America”. It was my mother’s favorite program and became mine – host, Bill Bellamy, is a hoot. Bring this show back.
fun show
let’s ask america show needs to be renewed- a very fun show!
LOVE THE SHOW ! Y DID U CANCEL IT? I hope it wasn’t because you had a black host. That would be very upsetting. It’s a very entertaining and funny show. Bring it back!
I would like Let’s Ask America show to not be cancelled. This is a great family show and my 10 year old loves it!!! He’s very disappointed because he wanted us to be a participant one day. TV seems to support shows that are controversial, reality messiness, or inappropriate for family viewing… but shows that are fun get cancelled. I think the pendulum needs to sway back towards the later so the family can get back to watching together 🙂
We are really going to miss this show!
In the Cleveland market it was up against Jeopardy!
………..Just to add to my previous comment, it’s really sad that Scripps could cancel this show – it’s fun, happy, and NOT A STUPID REALITY TV SHOW!!!!
Agreed Laura V
Oh well
I am really bummed out! That stinks…….I think they would have had better ratings on this show if they could have secured a more-watched time slot on television. Thumbs down to Scripps!
I love watching this show and was looking to be a constant just found out that it will be going off the air it comes own in my town at 2:30 pm central will surely miss it
this is so unfortunate I was a season 3 participant and I was surrounded by hundreds of people who became familiar with the show for the first time and have considered becoming participants contestants it’s a wonderful game show its a clean game show is a family game show it’s a fun game show I don’t care about right this minute or all those other three scripts programs this is very sad
I have been looking all over the place to figure out how to be on this show.
I love Bill Bellman and the show. I can’t believe I won’t be able to join in the fun.
🙁 wan wah) hope they bring it back.
I love this show. Just bad time slot.
I love the show it was on in our area Pgh pa at 3am I stayed up just to see it great game show bring it back at a better time
LOVED the show! LOVE LOVE LOVE…. but it was on at 3am! How many people could tune in at that time??????????? I am retired and have insomnia, so I did………. Too bad it never got a better time slot!
If you ask me, I’d say I never heard of this game show.
No kidding, right?
It has been on the air since 2012. this is the very first time I have ever heard of it.
What channel aired it? Never seen a promo for it. Did it air at 1 in the afternoon?
It’s not surprising an unheard of show is getting axed.
