BBC America says:
The Living and the Dead
In 1894, a newlywed couple inherits a farm in the English countryside, and begins their new life there together. But their arrival in the isolated community unleashes strange supernatural phenomena that threaten their marriage and their survival. The Living and the Dead is an uncanny, intriguing and disturbing drama, steeped in the eeriness of the rural world, just as the industrial revolution is poised to crash in and disrupt old certainties. This original six-part series, created by Ashley Pharoah (Life On Mars, Ashes To Ashes, Moonfleet), will star Colin Morgan (Humans, The Fall, Merlin) and Charlotte Spencer (Glue, Stonemouth, Line Of Duty).
What do you think? Do you like the sound of The Living and the Dead TV show? Do you plan to watch the first season on BBC America?
I’m wondering when this series will be shown in America,on BBC channel. Where can I find out?I loved Colin Morgan in MERLIN.thank you.
Great series, and with a cliffhanger like that I hope for a season 2. I have to know what happens!
Charlotte Spencer was great in Glue but Colin Morgan is a major turn off so I’ll give this a pass.
I don’t know why you don’t like Colin Morgan but I do have to say that I just finished watching this series and he was excellent in it. The show as a whole was creepy and intriguing and honestly you should at least give it a try if you like the lead actress because the show is good enough I think you’ll be missing out if you don’t watch it based on the other actor being a major turn off? Personally I didn’t think he was supposed to be sexy or whatever here, he was damaged and seeking truths that… Read more »
I can’t wait for The Living and the Dead to come to BBC America. I’m very sad that I wasn’t able to see it on BBCiPlayer today. I watch everything that Colin Morgan is in and it’s been too long since he was on my tv screen. Waiting for October will seem like forever.
I’m going to be honest, I already watch it today and it’s AMAZING! So I will rewatch again on BBC AMERICA, besides Colin Morgan must be watch every single time he is on TV, movies, theater, or just walking. He is the best actor these days imo and he proves that once again as Nathan Appleby, one of the most complex and intriguing characters written. Don’t miss it!
Yes !! Very excited to see it come to USA audiences! We need more of Colin Morgan on our screens. PLLEASE DO NOT CUT or Shorten important scenes the way AMC did to Humans! One need only compare Humans as broadcast by Channel 4 in the UK to the AMC version shown here to see that Colin’s work was butchered.
You certainly speak for me, as well. Equally upset with Amazon Prime for choosing the AMC version of Humans for their streaming video. I think and hope that BBC America and BBC One will carry this as it was meant to be. Ashley Pharoah is a genius and Colin Morgan is an extraordinary performing artist. The whole series is wonderful: music, cinematography, intriguing story and excellent acting.
Cannot wait to watch it here in the USA. Colin Morgan breathtaking amazing and a fantastic actor.
Yes!!! I’m waiting!!!! I’m waiting this great serie, and mainly I’m waiting to see again talented Colin Morgan!
