What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, Longmire stars Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Lou Diamond Phillips, Cassidy Freeman, Adam Bartley, and A Martinez. Based on the Craig Johnson mystery novel series, the drama centers on Absaorka County, Wyoming Sheriff Walt Longmire (Taylor).
In November 2016, Longmire was renewed for a sixth season and final season. The finale was released on November 17, 2017. Could it return some day? Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Fans don’t have to spend season six wondering whether Netflix will cancel or renew Longmire for season seven. Last November, the streaming service announced it was renewed for a sixth and final season. Longmire fans have had a long time to prepare themselves for the end of this contemporary western crime thriller. It originally ran for three seasons on A&E. When the cable network cancelled Longmire, Netflix rode in for the rescue. At least this time, the writing team has had ample time to craft a suitable ending. I’ll still keep my eye out for news related to Longmire, so subscribe for free updates.

This is an amazing series and I hate to see it end. The characters are so real, they have flaws, they have strengths and this is what gives so much to this depth. Walt Longmire is the real deal, as mentioned in one of the episodes he would have been happier born in a different era. He is Cowboy tough, not something I say lightly. My husband and I love this show and I am so upset it has ended. Please bring this show back for a season 7. So much out there we could care less about but so looked forward !!!!!!!!
This is such a fantastic, hi-quality series that encompasses so many dimensions. It’s a wonderful escape and it’s certainly a unique production. But to see it come to an end after just 6 seasons is heart-breaking. I sincerely hope that they can see fit (provided the cast agrees) to continue this series for at least another season or two. I feel the stories are not ended as of yet. Problem is that the way they did the series finale, it didn’t leave too many openings to continue the story. Why oh why would you cancel Longmire when it has such a huge fan base and is the best tv series to come along in years. Everything about this show is awesome. The setting, the stories, the cast, just everything, so could someone explain to me why you cancel such a hit show. Come on, we don`t want something similar, we want Longmire
I just finished watching Season 6. This show is fabulous. I can’t imagine Netflix not renewing . The show may not be a favorite for younger audiences, but this by far one of favorite shows of all time. I too, signed up for Netflix because of this show. I cannot believe after reading the other comments that the show could no continue. To bad for all of us loyal fans and too bad for people who haven’t experienced this fine show.
This show needs to be brought back. Every character is wonderful.

We just finished the series, in about 2 weeks. And now we just started it over because there is nothing close to this good. I miss Walt and Vic. Please give us more seasons.
Please consider doing anthor season of Longmire. It’s is one of the best shows on today. I have Netflix because you can’t get programming like Longmire on regular tv
