TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
What was A & E thinking….???? First Glades now Longmire!! I will not watch A & E!!
This series should have been renewed!!
This is one of the two best shows on TV and the very best on A&E. How could you cancel such quality programming? Hopefully, another, more intelligent network will see the light and add it to their lineup. I will not be not be watching this network any more!!!!
A very unhappy viewer.

This is a joke. Right? Right? Somebody tell me that a&e is just playing a sick joke.
Disappointed to hear that Longmire has been cancelled. We have really enjoyed the series.
How sad that another good shows gets cancelled because it didn’t appeal to a young audience. Seniors spend money also but advertising just gears their dollars to basement dwellers.
It should be renewed
needs renewed
love the show some one pick it up amc tnt some one
Damn good show. I will miss it. Bought the DVDs. Hope someone will continue making the series.
I hope a good network picks up the series. USA,AMC would be good ones.
Longmire is a unique show with a unique approach to the Western way of life. Please renew for Season 4.
Longmire please networks pick it up it has the audience and we will follow. Love the real people time and places, the character s have what it takes so give it a run.
What kind of fools are running the show at A&E to cancell a great show like Longmire one of the only ones I watch sad sad sad
We were shocked that Longmire was cancelled. It is the only show that positively portrayed Native Americans. We spent the summer rooting for Henry Standing Bear and were looking forward to a new season with Henry having good things happen. We also enjoyed Mathias and were hoping to see more of him. We also were hoping they would expand the season to 22 shows and make it a winter program. I guess too much of a good thing isn’t in the cards. God bless all the cast and writers. Hope to see you in the future.
Very disappointed in A&E. You say 61 is the average age of viewers of Longmire, which does not fit in your 18-49 age demographic. Have 61 year olds suddenly stopped buying from your sponsors? Longmire is a great show and we look forward to another network picking it up.
Longmire was one of the BEST shows on TV … I cannot believe A&E has cancelled this wonderful show with absolutely wonderful actors. I will not watch A&E again.
