TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Canceling this show is a bad thing. This is by far one of the best shows non TV.
My family looked forward to Longmire every week. I will not watch A&E any longer
or until they bring back one of the best shows around.
All my friends loved this show, and they are not old like the A&E staff thinks. We
all range from 20’s to 80’s about 40 of us.
There is really nothing on TV that is entertaining as this show. Great cast.
A&E is not in this world…
We loved the show. We are still hoping it gets picked up.
PLEASE bring longmire back, My disabled son who is unable to do much loves this show, and is actually very sad he can’t watch it anymore. I also miss it. There are some very intelligent people who watch this show. You can tell, because they don’t like the other junk you have on your station. Longmire fans know the difference between quality and idiotcy. Whats the matter with you people on a@e. DON’T YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE/
I am really sorry you canceled this show. I have really enjoyed it.
A&E you are a joke! Longmire was one of the best shows on T.V. and you dropped it. Well I guess it is time to drop you. The reason they dropped it was because it did not appeal to the younger crowd despite decent ratings. News flash the generation that you are cutting out, pays the cable/satelite bill for the younger generation you so covet. Good luck with another reality show.
Why is it they always cancel the great shows and leave the crap on! My family is so upset that Longmire has been cancelled! We loved that show! The acting was great and the story line interesting week after week. Bring it back!!!!!!
I am angry that Longmire has been cancelled. The rumors are that the audience was “too old”! What morons to cancel because of that reason. The “too old” have more expendable cash flow! I’m with the tons of other emails I’m sure you are getting–big mistake! P.S. count this as 2 gray panthers because my husband loved the show as well.
Really disappointed that A&E chose to cancel a great show that was different than the crap that is on TV now. Hopefully a network picks up and fixes A&E screw-up.
Love Longmire. One of the best shows on these days. Hope it will be renwwed ASAP.
this was a fantastic show and the acting of all was really great. wife and I never missed it if we did we taped it for later. cannot understand why it was cancelled and it should be picked up by another station due to its popularity. if it is I hope they let people know soon, we really miss the show. loyal fan.
Why would A&E cancel a show like Longmire? What an outstanding cast and great storylines. What an unbelievable decision. What critics are A & E’s head honchos listening too? Maybe they should take a reality check of what people want to see!!!
I hope Longmire gets picked up by another network… and soon!
Why would you cancel a future classic? You must take your ratings from groups that watch those silly reality shows.
I have stopped watching anything on A&E since they cancelled Longmire. It was the best show on television each summer. Production, actors, story line all top notch. Whoever made the decision to cancel this show really miss the boat!! Big mistake-huge!!
Yup, and the Glades had Jim shot at the end on the way to his wedding for God’s sakes. At least a 2 hour movie.
Why? One of the Best in years. Reconsider !
I Love the Longmire series. So sad to see really good shows get cancelled.
