TV ONE ANNOUNCES THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED RETURN OF ORIGINAL COMEDY SERIES “LOVE THAT GIRL!”
— Production on Half-Hour Series Created by Bentley Kyle Evans Begins May 2013
SILVER SPRING, MD, May 21, 2013 – The laughs keep coming to TV One with the return of Love That Girl!, a half-hour comedy series chronicling the life and times of Imunique Jefferson and Delroy Jones, and the crazy, but loving bond that makes them not just colleagues, but family. Production is scheduled to begin May 2013 with an anticipated premiere date in fall 2013.
Created by Bentley Kyle Evans (Martin, The Jamie Foxx Show), the fourth season features an all-star cast including Phil Morris (Hot in Cleveland), Bresha Webb (Weeds), Alphonso McAuley (Breaking In), Peter Oldring (Glenn Martin DDS), Mark Adair-Rios (Off The Map), and Huggy Low Down (Tom Joyner Morning Show).
New to the series, is seasoned sitcom star Reagan Gomez (The Cleveland Show, The Parent’Hood) as Del Jones Realty’s newest employee and Delroy’s niece, Jasmine Russell. Not afraid to use nepotism cards when it suits her, Jasmine discovers making it in LA is tougher than she imagined.
“Our audience has been very vocal about their affinity towards this show,” explained Alfred C. Liggins, III, President and CEO of TV One. “The return of Love That Girl! speaks to the strength of the series – our viewers championed its return, and TV One answered the call.”
“I am delighted to continue my relationship with TV One and revisit these characters that were so dear to the audience,” said series creator Bentley Evans. “I’ve been getting numerous questions about the series and it thrills me to share with everyone that we are back and better than ever!”

What do you think? Are you looking forward to the fourth season of Love That Girl on TV One?
How come Latrell never got a job? Stand up is not his forte and how come everybody let’s hom do what he wants? Why do black shows always have a freeloading mooch? Look at Lynn in Girlfriend’s!
I live in dallas-met kendyll joi at a dollar general store, she was very nice, beautiful and friendly.
I love this show.I must say I was a little surprised when Ali didn’t return but again it kinda made the show a little better to me because all my favorite characters are still there. So I say keep it coming!
I THINK THIS SHOW REALLY SUFFERS FROM THE ABSENCE OF TATYANA ALI. I DO ENJOY THE OTHER ACTORS AND ACTRESSES,BUT THE SHOW IS JUST NOT THE SAME.I AM NOT SAYING THAT IT IS A BAD SHOW ,JUST THAT I PERSONALLY LIKE IT BETTER WITH ALI. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ,DOING WHAT YOU DO.IT STLL IS A GOOD SHOW.
Didn’t think Bresha Webb was much of an actress until I saw her and Mark Adair (Adonis!) playing the parents of a sick child on Grey’s Anatomy (4 episodes). They were excellent! So it must be that the writing is poor (sorry). Please do something about this. The addition of Huggy does not add or subtract.
I liked the fact that a sitcom was coming to TV1 from Martin Lawrence. However, the writing is weak. Ali’s performance was good but not great, probably due to writing???? Imunique is more ghetto that ever and should not be the center of the show: is she someone’s daughter who’s affiliated with creating the show. I can she her as a add in like huggy low down. Gomez Preston should have been brought in to replace Ali; living in the apartment with Latrell as well. Or some other better actress. I would be better but they’re looking for someone younger… Read more »
love the show, please advise if there is a dvd out for for show and also, has the show been cancelled again, I have now been able to find it this week. thanks
This show is very entertaining keep up the good work LOVE IT
I love the show and was so delighted when the shows started back. I would love to have a dvd of the show for my collection. I do wonder whey the gay couple is not on this season as much as the first season. Also I think the new characters are a great asset to the show. Please continue to provide good funny shows for my entertainment. I know people just like the characters on the show. Love the show and the colorful Imunique. GREAT CHARACTERS
Can’t wait to see huggy low down do what he does best (make people laugh)!
I love this show. i’m very happy it coming back on, can’t wait!!!!! wooowhoo
Love this show! I think Bresha Webb plays the show’s strongest character!
Love that show. Can’t wait..
Never heard of this show or network. Bu just reading about it makes me happy I haven’t if this is the best they have to offer.
Oh my gosh…. WHY?!?! This show is TERRIBLE.
I love the show. It is so funny and the cast gel so well. I could see the growth of the script with each season and anticipated each new episode. There are no other sitcoms on TV right now that has a prodominent African-American cast, director, writers, and crew. Also with each show you never know what African American actor might show up. They are giving people work.
I agree. Not the same without tatyana ali. She may have got tied up into some other show, ”second generations to the wayans.” But, year there should have been a warning stating that ali was off for good, she does produces the show. I only watch this show because of veteran actor phillip morris, and this new storyline with his love imterest.
Blessin: I’ve enjoyed @ luv the show from the beginning, but now that our (Ms. Bresha Webb) has rightfully been put in the( led) the show is (just perfect ), Webb has (range) u can’t judge a book by it’s cover -theirs (all kinds of people )in the world. Martin show had (depth ) so does (Love that girl) , l’ve learned something new every episode. Luv, luv
