MacGyver has cast its first actor, and it is an actor familiar to CBS audiences. George Eads from CSI has been cast in the new pilot that will focus on a young MacGyver.
Deadline reported on Eads casting and shared more about the series and Eads role in it. The news outlet shared the following:
“Eads is the first actor cast in MacGyver, which features twentysomething Angus MacGyver who is recruited into the clandestine organization from the original series where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening. Eads will play Lincoln, a man who could easily be written off as an eccentric conspiracy theorist but he’s a legit government employee with great capability for compassion.”

It’s sad that network execs are getting like Hollywood movie makers…no creative thinking anymore. They are remaking old programs because they can’t think k if new ideas. I hate seeing old popular TV shows being remade. Let the dead stay dead with good memories. Like old movies that were good but missed their audience at the time, if they want to remake old shows, go through all the old ones. Great! I liked him in CSI and was sad that he wasn’t included in the final episode.
