Earlier this week, it was announced that Emma Stone and Jonah Hill were cast in a new series, called Maniac, being developed by Paramount Television. The production company was shopping the series around because they wanted a straight-to-series commitment.

It did not take long for Maniac to find a home. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has picked up the series. The streaming service has given the series a 10-episode order.

This is not the only series picked up by Netflix this week. It was also announced that a comedy starring Drew Barrymore was coming to the service. That series is called Santa Clarita Diet.
