This is not the Hollywood Ending fans have mind. Marvel’s Agent Carter is in danger of being cancelled by ABC. Executive producer Michele Fazekas told EW the chances for a third season are “bad.” The “Hollywood Ending” season two finale could end up being Agent Carter’s TV series finale.
If there is a third season, Fazekas tells EW that there has been talk of sending Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter to London. They might keep her in L.A. though, or even send her back to New York. The cast also includes James D’Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, Enver Gjokaj as Chief Daniel Sousa, Wynn Everett as Whitney Frost, Reggie Austin as Jason Wilkes, and Chad Michael Murray as Chief Jack Thompson.
Here is more on Marvel’s Agent Carter’s chance of a third season, from EW’s interview with EPs Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters:
How do you feel about the show’s chances for a third season?
FAZEKAS: Bad. People have to watch the show. While I would love to see it continue on, it’s a bummer — a bummer for all of us, cast included. Everybody loves the job, everybody loves working together. I would love to see it live on, even if it’s in some other form, digital or whatever. I doubt that there’s a Netflix play for it. We’re not really involved in those decisions anyway. At the end of the day, people have to watch the show.Would you consider a way to wrap up the story somehow?
FAZEKAS: Sure. It’s interesting because that episode feels like — except for the fact that we plugged Thompson — a nice little conclusion, which wasn’t the intent. If they wanted us to do anything, we would do it. We absolutely love it.
[SPOILERS for Marvel’s Agent Carter, “Hollywood Ending” season two, episode 10.]
In the season two finale of Marvel’s Agent Carter Peggy needs Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) to eliminate Zero Matter. The gang faces a mission from which they might not return. Manfredi (Ken Marino) works with the white hats to free Whitney from the Dark Matter and send it back through the rift, which they are able to close, because of Sousa. Whitney goes insane. Jack is shot in the chest. In one less grim bit of news, Sousa and Peggy smooch.
Do you agree that the second season finale offered a “nice little conclusion” to Marvel’s Agent Carter TV show? Should ABC cancel the series, or renew it for a third season? Let us know, below.
Please, renew. The only reason I can’t watch it is because I have classes and I usually end up watching it online the next day
Please renew this show! I DVR it, and usually watch it the following weekend, but I ALWAYS watch it.
Everything about Agent Carter is fabulous: the costumes, the timing, the music, the accents! I could watch this all day.
I love this show….the stories the costumes…don’t take her away
Sorry. WASN’T advertised very well.
I’m sorry to say that I’m a late comer to this show, but it was advertised very well. I love it!!!! It’s a great period piece and funny and serious at the same time. Peggy’s character is so strong, but really lovable that she’s my idea of the perfect TV character. It seems like every man in the show is at least half in love with her, which is marvelous. Please renew the show. I just bought season 1 so I can go back and watch it.
Season 3 has to be there!!!! Agent Carter is the best!!! Please!
pls. I love to see Dorothy and Peggy as friends <3
I love Agent Carter, please continue with Season 3. I have never missed an episode yet.
I love the show, and although it has a small audience it has a strong one! Please renew Agent Carter for season 3!!!
SEASON 3 PLEEASE!! LOVE AGENT CARTER!
As a longtime Marvel comic – now film & tv fan, I absolutely love Agent Carter (AOS, too). Ep 9 (Song & Dance) was Great! I love the retro style, vibe, tone, music, fashion – it deserves an Emmy or two. If the nitwits at ABC cancel it (which is to be expected, as I worked in network tv during the 90’s, and these guys were never about brains – only money-grubbing and the rot that brings), I would be VERY disappointed. Fell in love w/ Haley Atwell in Captain America (“Well, what do you think?”, “A Masterpiece!”), and she… Read more »
Season three! Bring on a season 3! How could ABC even consider cancelling it yet again?! DO as Peggy says and carry on!
Would like a season 3 please. Love the characters!
Please, please season 3!!! Love this show, so much potential for the future! Don’t be foolish and cancel!
