CBS hasn’t announced that Medium has been cancelled but, while attending an event last weekend, Patricia Arquette said that the show will indeed be ending this season.
Like her character, series star Arquette can indeed see the future. Now, Medium creator Glenn Gordon Caron has confirmed that the drama is finished. Of the last episode, Caron wrote, “Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on Medium Friday, January 21st. In what we believe will be a series defining episode, Allison and her family will stare destiny in the eye. And destiny will not blink.”
The ratings for Medium have taken a real hit this season. Despite frequently winning its timeslot, the drama has averaged a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.41 million viewers. CBS reduced the number of episodes to just 13 as a result.

How would I like to see “Medium” end? I don’t want it to end at all!! It’s a great show that is suffering because CBS put it in a horrible time slot. It’s my favorite show, and I’ve always watched it on TV (not DVR). I looked forward to Monday nights when it was on NBC and then to Friday nights when CBS picked it up. A network clearly run by GREED and executive decision makers that operate on single minuscule brain cell!! Ever heard of the expression, “If it ain’t broke it don’t need fix’n?” Obviously NOT!!!!
Every time they move a show around people don’t know when it’s on and they don’t watch it – simple as that. Also any show on Friday night seems to get the axe if it doesn’t get the optimum viewers. A lot of younger people aren’t going to watch TV on Friday and a lot of people who work aren’t going to do the same. I don’t know what kind of demographic they’re looking for but I would think that Ghost Whisperer and Medium would get a good, older viewing audience. I wish they would not cancel Medium! Great show with a plot and good chemistry with the cast. Reality tv is just terrible and this is a refreshing alternative.

Bad CBS, BAD!
I do not want “Medium” to end. Why should it? Allison finally is on the road to obtaining her law degree…and we all know how that will make her unstoppable in the DA’s office. There are so many storylines to pursue, I am left totally unsatisfied and dissatisfied. Can’t you please give us another season?

I’m really going to miss this show; it was a nice diversion from the garbage that’s being broadcasted. I would like to see it end as if it were in the future – Allison becoming a lawyer, the girls grown and happy, and Joe discovering an alternative energy.
Please don’t cancel it! I tape it every week and still love it. The ratings are never right. I watch very little new TV as I have been burned too many times by the Networks cancelling a show too quickly. Or having a show go on hiatus or messing with the time slot. Drives me crazy!
If it does end, I would not want to see anyone die!

Why do they have to cancel all the good shows and shove reality TV down our throats. I hope they keep it on. It’s one of my favorites. The whole family watches. Please don’t cancel.
Once again, a great show is scrapped… Unfreakin-believeable… All we are left with is an endless list of reality shows that are hoplessly lame and no where near the caliber that Medium is/was. Now wonder so many people turn to cable for better entertainment.

Please don’t cancel! Love the actors, love the story lines, love the characters. Our whole family can watch this program. It’s a great depiction of family life in changing times and challenges of balancing careers and family needs. Don’t do it! Don’t cancel!
I would watch it anytime anywhere – best television couple, enjoyable plot with tons of potential. I wish they would keep it going! Skip the reality shows and keep Medium – PLEASE!
I absolutely love Medium!! I agree with so many who said that the networks are canceling all the great shows, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, Heros. I hope the networks might get our feedback and reconsider.
