While watching the second season of Men of a Certain Age in January, many viewers were dismayed to hear that TNT was calling the sixth episode the “season finale.” Had the show been cancelled?
Actually, TNT decided to cut the season into two parts. At some point, the cable channel increased the season order from 10 to 12 installments. The first six finished airing in January and now the second half dozen episodes are set to begin airing on Wednesday, June 1st at 10pm.
The first half of season two attracted a 0.5 rating in the all-important 18-49 demographic and an average of 2.16 million viewers each week. That’s a significant drop from season one which registered a 1.0 in the demo and an average of 3.19 million.
Will Men of a Certain Age be renewed for season three? That will likely have a lot to do with how well the remaining episodes perform in June. Unless the ratings pick up, it doesn’t look likely that we’ll see Ray Romano, Scott Bakula, and Andre Braugher on screen together after that.
What do you think? Are you glad to hear Men of a Certain Age is returning? Do you think it’ll get renewed for season three?

I would literally be devastated if this brilliant show gets cancelled after two seasons.
My husband and I both LOVE this show. It is a shame that it may not continue. I am so tired of getting hooked on these shows only to have them pulled out from under me. This show is realistic. It is both funny and touching. We have friends that are a lot like the characters on this show and it is refreshing to see a show that is so true instead of far fetched. Please for once do us a favor and keep it going — Give it a chance. Looking forward to the next 2 to 3 seasons.
We love this show! We want to see it continue. The three stars are fantastic together. Please don’t cancel it!
Men of a Certain Age is one of the very best shows ever brought to t.v. Hoping there will be many more seasons to come.
Please keep this great show on. Why must they give up so easily when this show has such potential. Three great guys, all different deamons, and close friends.
Great show, just not properly advertised, It really hits a new demographic. quite unusual from the regular cop kind of show, very light and refreshing. Love it.
tnt would be rewarded with a very successful series if the executives had ths balls to stick with a good show instead of folding. will they have the courage to stay with it, i doubt it
TNT has some good shows “Men of age” being one and “Southland” being the second….Please keep both of these shows on the air.
Agreed 100%
Real down to earth show—would hate to see it be canceled as have some other shows that were also down to earth. It seems to me that unless you are a little wacky family you won’t last!!!
LOVE THE SHOW !!!! Looking forward to many more seasons!!!
Love the show the cast is awsome. I’m glad they decided to do a second season.
A Great show!! It has to go on! one of a few shows that’s worth watching. considering I live in uk and have to se them on dvd as they come.
My significant other and I have just finished watching season 1 on dvd and hope that the show continues. The stories have a ring of reality to them and show the many facets of what men experience. This is a terrific window on the human experience.
Love the show. One of only three that I look forward to. Would hope there is a season 3, 4 and 5!
I am way over the demographic age, but I love the show. Their conflicts, problems & comradary are great to watch, & sometimes mirrors real life situations
