Though >Men of a Certain Age has been cancelled by TNT after two seasons, there’s work going on behind the scenes to get it back on another station for season three. At the TCA press tour, Everybody Loves Raymond executive producer Phil Rosenthal said, “I don’t have any inside information but I hear that there are networks trying to find ways to keep it going. I hope they do.”
Fans have been gathering support via a Facebook page and have been encouraging others to sign a petition. Last week, Men of a Certain Age co-creator Michael Royce chimed in to express his appreciation to supporters and to let them know the best way to help the show.
Hi everybody. I want to say a giant THANK YOU for all your incredible efforts to help us find the show a home. We producers are exploring all options: broadcast, cable, pay cable, online… laserdisc, filmstrips, Viewmaster… you name it, we’re into it. And your guys’ energy has been seriously breathtaking.
Because we’re talking to a lot of the places you’ve contacted, at this point it would behoove you (and us) to not email them. They all know of your interest. They told us. : )
For fans who want to help, the best thing you can do right now is get more people to “like” this page and sign the petition, so we can show a prospective distributor how many people out there want this show back.
I hope I’m not being discouraging because frankly Ray and I are very moved by the outpouring of love and support. We don’t want to give up yet. And we won’t. We’ll let you know what’s happening when and if it does.
Thanks so so much. Hold your head up!
—Mike Royce
What do you think? Would you follow Men of a Certain Age to a different channel? To a premium cable channel? Would you watch online for a fee?
Just PLEASE not on pay cable. Not all of us can afford it and waiting for the DVD takes so long!
Yes I would watch online for a fee if you let us Europeans. TNT wouldn’t let us, make it avaialable to everyone world wide please. That’s after all why they call it the World Wide Web.
As fans we of course found our ways to watch it anyway, through other fans who taped it and shared it, by buying the DVD’s but the ratings of us European fans TNT never counted.;
Please find a way everyone worldwide can watch it!!!!! We will pay the fee without blinking an eye 🙂
Please find a home for one of my favorite shows. We can’t just leave the guys hanging…I miss the show very much. Great groups of actors. Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula and Ray Romano…great producer/actor. Viewers need this show to stay on the air, addressing many issues of middle-age. There are few good TV shows and particuarly addressing issues of aging. Love the emotional connections and deepth that this show offered. Also the humor….please SAVE Men of a Certain Age.
Thanks.
Yes i would still watch it loved it
I will follow the show whereever it goes. My parents, too.
I love this show. I hope another network picks it up!
Bad decision. We need good television these days. Sadly there is not enough of it.
Best show on TV, period. TNT, really? I’d follow the show anywhere, anytime. Good job Mike Royce and Ray Ramano, you hit a homerun with every episode!
PS: I have heard that TNT is losing a lot of viewers of its other shows because everyone is so upset that they cancelled MOACA .
Best show on TV !!!! Great Cast . I was looking forward to another four or five seasons of this Jewel 1!! SHAME ON YOU TNT for not promoting this show the right way and splitting Sesaon 2 in half .
i love the show to a new network
Would I follow Men of a Certain Age to a premium channel – you bet I would. And if Viewmaster really DOES become my only option to watch it, Fisher-Price has my business! Please check out https://www.facebook.com/SaveMenOfACertainAge and sign the petition so we can see WHAT HAPPENS NEXT…!
One of the best shows on TV in the last several years…PERIOD! This just goes to show how most idiot Americans would rather watch moronic reality shows than a show with substance, great stories and fantastic acting. Another nail in the coffin for American society as a whole. It just keeps deteriorating at lightning speed. I’m sure that fat ass Snookie will continue to do well. A pathetic but true testament to the complete collapse of our society.
Thanks for posting this TVSF. I just liked the page and signed the petition. 🙂
It seems like whenever there is a show that has some real life meaning to it, it gets canceled! Why?
I’m not surprised that Turner has done this. Boo TNT! You have lost me as a viewer.
