At Comic-Con in San Diego, Merlin co-creator and executive producer Johnny Capps shared that a trilogy of movies and a sixth season may be made.
He said, “We’re hopefully going to do a trilogy — three movies. We will focus on them when we finish season five.”
Capps continued, “One idea we’ve been playing around with is to reboot the whole series. We would go back in time and start the story again and show different parts that you didn’t see in the series. The other idea is to do a continuation, but we haven’t decided that yet.”
He also noted that the possibility of a sixth season is still being discussed with the BBC.
BBC has ordered a fifth season of Merlin and those 13 episodes are still being produced. Syfy officially picked up season five and finished airing season four at the end of March.

Merlin is good tv series. i hoping there is season 6. season 5 end like is just too sad.
I think u should make a season six. And I believe as long as you can make a movie of like how he grew up till he made it to Camelot and maybe one about Merlin and the white dragon as they both are older and wiser

Season six is a must for me. I am confined to my bed because two years ago I was dignosed with a cancer in my blood. However I’m doing fine and learning to walk again. So you see a season six would really be great. You must make it. I have purchased the other five season but have not found season six. I even call my dog Emeris now. He is a little confused by that. Season 5 can not end lake that you shoed just make a season 6 no movies .So my idea is that they wake up together 20 years after author died and merlin tolled author he was a dragon loured and that the dragon loured that they looked for wan Camelot was bean attacked by the dragon was merlins dad that is my idea.
