Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

I was dissapointed to hear the this show was cancelled. There was drama, action and kept me (audience) looking forward for the next week. I beleive that this show needed more publicity as marketing strategy was not apparent.

I was waiting for this show to come back on. I think they need to put in back on maybe at a earlier ime. If I missed it I would dvr . it. Such a waste with no ending…..
I agree with everyone. Abc does discontinue every good show. They should have least gave it one more season, just to see. I loved missing. I made sure all my stuff was done for the night so I could watch it and if I was busy I recorded it. Please put the show back on the air cause this is all crappy.
They are just making room for more crummy reality shows. I will just watch more British shows on Netfix
Put missing back on. I wasn’t able to watch on tv but now catching up and now to only find out you’ve discontinued it. Crap. Sign on for couple more seasons or one more at least to give us ending! I wouldn’t have watched it if I would have known you were going to stop showing it!
This is one TV Series I will be missing. It should be definitely brought back. Great Show.
I can’t believe that ABC canceled this show. It was great!! I’m not a fan of ABC’s network. They’ve canceled all the shows I’ve liked. I don’t even watch ABC at all anymore. It’s a dyeing network!!

Missing was a awesome show.Full of suspense and guess what (NO Bad Language)That was a great treat for my family.It is just as good as NCIS.Best T.V.Show ever.All the other showes on such as Reality T.V. vampire are just garbage.ABC what are you thinking ?I would like to see this Missing T.V. show to go on and on and on.
Can’t believe that ABC cancelled the show!!!! That was the ONLY show on tv that was so full of action and suspense week after week!!! It was like watching a movie except on t.v.
Get real you abc execs..you should have kept the show, the ratings would surely improve, at least given it another season..a better chance at surviving your stupid ‘ratings’!!
I can not understand why they cancelled this show. I would really like to know where the ratings were derived from. These REALITY shows are complete JUNK. Missing ranks up there with NCIS and Person of Interest!!!

This was a great show full of suspense. I am truly sorry it was canceled!! Was impatiently waiting for season 2!
How did I miss this news? I have been looking forward all summer to MISSING returning. Tv cancels prime suspect, Chicago (on fox). And what now, more shows on weight loss?
