It looks like there won’t be a fifth season for the Mr. Selfridge TV series. “It’s the last series,” co-star Amanda Abbington reportedly told What’s On TV, “We won’t be doing any more, which will be really sad because it’s been a part of my life for four years.” While ITV hasn’t confirmed or denied Abbington’s statement, last year series creator Andrew Davies said, “It was always conceived of as four series.”
Mr. Selfridge follows flamboyant businessman Harry Selfridge (Jeremy Piven) who decides to build the biggest and finest department store in the world at the “dead end” of Oxford Street in London. In addition to Piven and Abbington, the series stars Frances O’Connor, Katherine Kelly, Gregory Fitoussi, Aisling Loftus, and Trystan Gravelle.
The third season of Mr. Selfridge, which airs on PBS here in the States, is currently airing. The show has already been renewed for a fourth season of 10 episodes. They’re expected to begin airing next year.

I love this show hope theres a 5th season
I shall miss Mr. Selfridge dearly as high quality TV is hard to find. I hope Masterpiece reconsiders and adds a 5th season to round out the storylines that are left handing.
Mr. Selfridge is a fantastic program. I’m hooked. What a disappointment for viewers to leave the whole plot with such loose ends. No one wants a show to end like that.

I loved all 4 seasons please don’t let it end like this Mr. Selfridge deserves better and would love to see more of what happens to the store and the workers and a happy ending for Mr. Selfridge
I dont think it should end like this.. He was a proud man.. Ending the story with all taken from him is just not where he stood for.. He fought was proud and would risk alot for great ideas.. There needs to be a season 5…
Very disappointed, I love watching Selfridge and wish it would continue. It’s a shame to end such a good show so quickly.

Oh my goodness…I WISH there was a Season 5! I am so attached to all the characters and the show certainly ended with a new “beginning”. Please continue this wonderful show. There’s no reason why Harry can’t occasionally come on as a “consultant” while the other significant characters entice us with more exciting drama!
I have so enjoyed watching Mr Selfridge, there must be a season 5, how will we know how the store manages with Mr Gordon in charge?
