Created by Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal, Murder in the First follows a pair of San Francisco homicide detectives — Terry English (Taye Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Kathleen Robertson) — as they investigate murders that are connected to Silicon Valley wunderkind Erich Blunt (Tom Felton). Others in the cast include Mimi Kirkland, Raphael Sbarge, Ian Anthony Dale, Bess Rous, Nicole Ari Parker, and Steven Weber.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Total waste of my time….I wrote that ending two weeks ago…had absolute no suspense, and worse of all for this genre no surprises.The finale was a cop-out (no pun intended). It looked like the writers ran out of paper and said let’s wrap this up. No chemistry between the leads, the back story of the DA and the head cop, was awful and not needed. If they renew this they better amp up the writing.
Love the show..hoping it will be renewed.
TNT is crazy if they do not renew this series. It’s been a a run and it was an awesome finale! We will be disappointed if it doesn’t return…….

I love this show. It is well acted and believable. Do not cancel. I know that Eric must be caught at some point and the story line will have to end, but its one of the best shows on right now.

Apparently I’m the minority because I love Murder in the First! Love the cast and want so badly to see them take Eric Blunt down! His character is one you truly love to hate. Great job! Hope it’s renewed!
