Nashville is currently airing its fourth season on ABC, but there is already a rumor circulating on the Internet this morning that the series starring Hayden Panettiere will return for a fifth season next year. TV producer Phil Autelitano sent out a reassuring Tweet Sunday morning.

ABC has not yet announced the pick-up of Nashville for season five. In fact, the network is still deciding on the fate of the new fall line-up for this season. Last week, they announced the pick-up of The Muppets for three more episodes, and Quantico was given a full season order.
As for Nashville, the ratings for the series have dipped again this year. Some critics have mentioned the more dramatic tone of this season so far. Nashville’s ratings are in the same line as the ratings for Blood & Oil. ABC announced late in October that it was cutting the episode order for that new series.

This is an awesome Show ! This show, has me, listening to Country Music and I am a Rocker.
I think it’s and absolutely brilliant show, because it brings both drama and music to the table and it has such a range of country music which is great. One of the only drama shows out there at the moment that has that range of music and drama. It should most definitely be renews for a firth season, without a doubt.

ABSOLUTLY!!!! Best show on TV. I think the name could be deceiving and the fact that you cannot find it on Netflix or ABC (unless you pay for episodes) I know a few other shows I was not interested in at first peaked my interest and I was able to watch the series from day one on Netflix. Could this be an option? Plus it’s not heavily advertised and 10pm EST is a little late for most people that work. I would watch it at any time it is on. I love Nashville. I hope it is renewed. I wish they would get back to the music more, though. These people are incredible musicians, and it just seems that the music is lacking this season. Put out another soundtrack – the revenue from that alone will help the show.

You make it sound like Hayden is the only one on the show. No offense to H, but Connie Britton is the lead credit & an EP. So much talent & story besides Juliette Barnes. Keep it for the faithful viewers, not cuz of your precious demographics…
I would love to see Nashville renewed although it is a little over the top this year. Hopefully Jeff really is gone for good.
