Will Nashville fare better in the ratings than ABC’s quickly cancelled Cop Rock series? The critics have sung this new show’s praises but we’ll have to wait to see if the viewers agree and if they’ll keep watching.
The first season of Nashville typically airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The drama’s cast includes Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Powers Boothe, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Robert Wisdom, and Judith Hoag.

Compared to last year’s Revenge premiere in the same timeslot, the network was down by 15% in the demo (vs a 3.3 rating) and down by 10% in viewership (vs 10.02 million). This wasn’t a terrible start but it’s not a great one either.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Should DEFINITELY be renewed!!!!
This is one of the few shows I love to watch. The music is great and the storyline as well. I hope it is not cancelled.
I love this show! All the acting and singing is great!
I love the show! Connie and Hayden are wonderful, and the Austrailian singer is very good as well. (Scarlett). It does drag just a bit, but over all I love it, and the music, although I don’t this music is really ‘country.’ This is sort of another version of FNL set in Nashville.
This is my new favorite show!!! So far to me it’s like a teenage young adult show!! And it has great love able characters and drama, and great country music!! I think the show should continue on:)
Love it! They only show I sit down to watch!! I REALLY REALLY hope this show stays around for a long time!
Should definitely stay on! I can see the plot starting to build and it promises to be a good show for both men and women.
Nashville is toast.
I just watched the first 2 episodes of Nashville. I loved loved lived it! I will definetly stay tuned in!
Just watched the 1st episode and very much looking forward to see the 2nd. Loved it.
I LOVE NASHVILLE. Please KEEP it. Weren’t the baseball playoffs on then? Give it a chance til after the games are over. It reminds me of Dallas only with the country music background, power, money, etc. Great Show! I want to see MORE!
We like it! Its like the good ‘ol Dallas. Keep it!!!
[…] premiere ratings for ABC’s Nashville TV series weren’t all that impressive but the alphabet network […]
It’s nothing but a hick soap opera and not even well done. The three women can’t sing worth a darn and every character is just a cardboard cut-out. Nothing creative or original here and hey, I know the city of Nashville and the country music industry like the back of my hand and this is not flattering to either. I only watched this back in June as part of marketing research and they had to pay me to watch this garbage.
Everyone I talk to loves Nashville and Connie and Chip sound pretty good to me.
Nashville is good , BUT I HATE THE STUPID NARATIONS. We see her lick her lips, walk around the counter ETC
If the NARATIONS stay they we stop watching, it is annoying when
