Joe Swanberg isn’t the only filmmaker to land a comedy series at Netflix. Variety reports the streaming service has ordered a new comedy series from filmmaker Nick Stoller and his wife, Francesca Delbanco.
Stoller has previously written the movies Sex Tape, Zoolander No. 2, and Get Him to the Greek. He also co-created NBC’ The Carmichael Show, which is currently airing its second season.
From Variety:
The show is about a close-knit group of college friends who are all approaching forty. Two of them have been hooking up on-and-off for two decades and are now married to other people. The series is described as an exploration of what happens to the group’s marriages and friendships when one couple moves.”
The untitled series is currently casting. Netflix has already ordered eight episodes.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Stoller’s movies? Would you watch the new series?
