Christine Campbell (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is a neurotic single mom who has a hard time juggling her responsibilities at home and work. Others in her life include her low-key brother, Matthew (Hamish Linklater); best friend and business partner, Barbara (Wanda Sykes); young son Ritchie (Trevor Gagnon); irresponsible ex-husband, Richard (Clark Gregg); and his current love, “New Christine” (Emily Rutherfurd). Often popping up to make “Old Christine” feel even more incompetent are “mean mommies,” Marly and Lindsay (Tricia O’Kelley and Alex Kapp Horner).
As you probably know, The New Adventures of Old Christine was cancelled in the spring and won’t be back for season six. On the positive side, the show is coming to syndication and Lifetime.

I am so disappointed that this show hasn’t been picked up! Finally, in a sea of reality shows about ANYTHING, a sit-com that makes me laugh.
I am so disappointed that this show hasn’t been picked up! Finally, in a sea of reality shows about ANYTHING, a sit-com that makes me laugh. The characters are likeable and the writers, remember shows with writers? Well, these are top shelf writers that keep me laughing between jokes, with the witty, sarcastic back and forth. I liked it enough to search online for it. Maybe if it didn’t move around it wouldn’t have lost ratings? I can’t imagine it lost any fanbase, I was more invested each season. So, repeats will have to do, for now??
I find this show to be highly therapeutic and it is interesting to me to find that I am not the only one who feels this way about the show. I have watched every single episode and had saved them all on my PVR and own the first season disc set, my mom was the one who got me into the show initially and I fell in love with it since. Old Christine’s life, although a disaster is somehow the cutest life I’ve ever gotten to view on television. I used to suffer from severe anxiety/panic attacks, yet when I… Read more »
Just like an earlier post, I just found “Christine” a couple of months ago. I’d get up sometimes at 3AM and watvh the shoe off of my dvr. At times I laughed so hard that I was afraid of waking my husbund and 3 yr. old. I was dealing with my dad in ICU, granma dying, and my the death of my 14 year cat. Needless to say, I was devastated but yhis show was “the only” thing on TV that actually gave me a break from crying. Please, I need my show back!!!!
