It was another 0.6 rating this week with 1.73 million. While it’s positive that the series didn’t lose any points, this is still way lower than what the network had last year.
Season average: 0.6 demo with 1.79 million.
Episode 02-01: Friday, 9/23/11
Year-to-year, the premiere of Nikita was down by 57% with a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.85 million viewers. That’s not a completely fair comparison though considering that the series is now on Friday nights. Compared to last season’s debut of Smallville, in the same timeslot, the network was down 54%. Either way you look at it, Nikita had a terrible kick off for the new season.
Reference point: The 2010-11 season averaged a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.37 million viewers.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

they need to canceled this nikita season 3
u have to be messed up to say that, seriously. nikita is epic and my fave show
Nikita should be renewed because it is the most amasing and intresting show on tv ever and the actors are so talented plus the story is very well written so i guess CW won’t do such thing and cancel it ;(
Nikita is the second best show in the universe(second to Merlin only by a little)! I would slip into a depression if Nikita was canceled. Hopefully CW does not do something insane like canceling Nikita and that Nikita keeps coming on until. The story is actually finished.
Please let the amazing show go on and on!love this series to the maxxxxxx

Have followed and enjoyed Niki et al from the beginning. Nice to have a sexual ‘tension’ between the main characters, but let’s not get too gooey as I don’t want to eventually see her doing mid-air whirly-spins in fight scenes while pregnant !!! OMG! Becket has gone over the edge with Castle on the finale!! Betcha next season we’ll see Becky just had a wet dream (after sitting on that park swing in the rain) as otherwise I don’t want to see them walking down an alley hand-and-hand doing Schmoopy-talk (ala Stephanopolous’ wife…Alexandria Wentworth who is a premier comedienne (even… Read more »
Nikita is the best written, most exciting and suspenseful show on all of television. Every plot is intricately woven, unpredictable, and surprising. The writers are in a class by themselves. Nikita is the CW’s female James Bond. I watch it every single week without fail. The characters are 3 dimensional, not cardboard cutouts. Each conflicted character has depth of feeling and motivation. They complement one another perfectly. Best of all is the cast. They’re the most talented cast of actors on TV. They deserve to go on to feature film roles if this show ever gets cancelled. And I happen… Read more »
Nikita is the most exciting, suspenseful, and sophisticated show on all of TV. It’s the only show I watch every single week without fail. Nikita is the female James Bond. Every plot is intricately wrought and utterly unpredictable and surprising. The writers are tremendous and the cast is the best on TV. I’m a professional playwright who lives in New York City and I know a thing or two about dramatic action, characterization, and suspense. Nikita has it all. Besides that, I’m in love with Maggie Q. and Lyndsy Fonseca. Nikita should be renewed for a 3rd season, beyond any… Read more »
DO NOT CANCEL NIKITA! One of the best shows CW has ever had. Way better than Smallville for example and Smallville got what, 10 seasons? Nikita deserves at least 4 of them. It has action, comedy, romance and it is hot. What the heck am I going to watch when SPN is over? I want NIKITA!
Please do not cancel Nikita. It’s the best show on TVright now. I can’t watch on Friday night because my children have classes until 9pm but I watch online every single episode the next day or as soon as it’s available on CW website. It’s captivating and addicting. The rating is not needed because there are millions of people all over the world watching it online. It is the MOST POPULAR show in Hong Kong, Philippines, Asia and many other countries. It’s a big mistake if CW cancel it. Nikita is my top favorite show on TV. Great story line,… Read more »
We love this show!!!! Timeslot is bad but we always dvr it. So much better than all the reality shows out there.
NIKITA SHOULD BE RENEWED FOR A THIRD SEASON! Come on! Please! I love that show so much, and so do a lot of people! I love it because it has to do with spies, assassins, and that’s freaking awesome! Unlike other shows that are just about rich girls.. *cough* Gossip Girl *cough* Nikita is a way better show! Keep it on the air!
I LOVE THIS SHOW…I so totally want to see what would happen in the third season. I would be completely pissed if they cancel this show. Please keep Nikita going!!!
