To no surprise, CBS cancelled their low-rated NYC 22 series a couple months ago. Airing on Sunday nights, the new cop show averaged just a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.67 million total viewers. The network pulled the series in May after four episodes.
Though CBS hasn’t “un-cancelled” the show (as they did with Unforgettable), they are bringing NYC 22 back to the schedule. They’re burning off the remaining episodes on Saturday nights this summer.
The network is kicking off the show’s return with a pair of installments this Saturday, July 7th, at 8pm and will run another set on July 14th. Then on July 21st, they’ll run just one installment, coupled with a Hawaii Five-0 rerun. The Eye network may keep burning off the remaining NYC 22 episodes after that but haven’t announced their Saturday schedule that far in advance yet.
CBS ordered 13 episodes of NYC 22. They aired four of them in April and May and currently have five scheduled for the next three Saturdays. Hopefully they’ll keep airing the series so that the last four will also see the light of day.
What do you think? Are you glad to hear that NYC 22 is coming back? Will you be watching on Saturday nights?
CBS=Cancelling Best Shows like NYC22, Unforgettable, & CSI Miami. If you cancel anything CANCEL ALL THAT SO CALLED REALITY CRAP ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!
Amen Mark! Reality tv isn’t real – it’s mindless. How sad that America turns on that crap and turns off a bright, well-written and thought-provoking series like NYC22! Shame on CBS – the bottom line is always $$.
just glad to see something that’s not a rerun or a “reality” show.
CBS = Cancelling Best Shows, by this I mean cancelling shows like NYC22, CSI Miami & Unforgettable………. CBS WAKE UP!!!!!! If you cancel anything GET RID OF ALL THAT SO CALLED REALITY CRAP!!!!!
mark » You may have missed it but Unforgettable has been revived for next summer.
I really enjoy this show, and the 2 episodes that came on this past weekend were great. Thank God my DVR box was still set to record new episodes or I would have missed them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this show and was extremely disappointed that CBS cancelled it. Excellent acting and intelligent writing. Appreciate the opportunity to watch the remaining episodes. Do not believe that CBS gave the show a chance to build a following when the they canceled it after four episodes. CBS is totally dropping the ball on this one!
i was suprise when that sow was cancel…. it seems presumpteous to think that after airing just four episodes the show would already be too popular for words i love it the first episodes
I wasn’t sure about the show the first couple episodes but these last 2 were great gives me a little hill street blues nypd blues mix vibe
Again another good show cancelled. While boring stupid so called reality shows are still on. This is why the networks are failing. Wake up and ask the people.
Loved the cast and the complex characters. I will be watching.
Very good show. Please keep it.
Agree!
Please keep this show on….I am watching for all the new episodes.
Glad it’s coming back for a little while. If they are they same good quality, CBS needs to renew! One of the best cop shows besides Blue Blood!
I looked forward to each new episode and was very disappointed when they decided to cancel! Please bring it back – I mean PERMANENTLY!
please keep it is a good shoe give it a chance
I loved this show from the start. It has a great crew and dynamics. I hope CBS reconsiders, after all what does CBS have that’s any good other than Unforgettable? Come on CBS drop the reality shows and put on good television like NYC22 and Unforgettable!
This show is great hope they keep it.
Great Show! Please Uncancel!
