Unfortunately, Parenthood has never been a hit TV show in the ratings. Fortunately, the numbers have been good enough to keep it from being cancelled each year. Will the Braverman family’s luck hold out? Time will tell.
An ensemble family drama, the cast includes Bonnie Bedelia, Craig T. Nelson, Dax Shepard, Erika Christensen, Joy Bryant, Lauren Graham, Mae Whitman, Max Burkholder, Miles Heizer, Monica Potter, Peter Krause, Sam Jaeger, Sarah Ramos, Savannah Paige Rae, and Tyree Brown.
Season four of Parenthood typically airs on Tuesdays nights at 10pm on the NBC network. They’ve ordered 15 episodes.
These are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if Parenthood is going to be cancelled or renewed for season five.

It wasn’t a great start of the season. Though Parenthood won its timeslot (opposite reruns), it was down year-to-year by 14% in the coveted demo (vs a 2.2 rating) and down by 13% in total viewers (vs 6.29 million). This isn’t a big surprise however since each season opener has been lower than the one before it.
Reference point: The 2011-12 season of Parenthood averaged a 1.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.13 million viewers.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Please renew Parenthood! It is one of the best shows on T.V.right now.The fact that a whole family can sit and watch it together and have a discussion afterward should speak volumes! The situations are very real and the Bravermans could be anyone of our families. There are moments that touch us deeply, make us laugh, and totally bring out the protective side in us.The actors are truly amazing and do more than their job to bring each episode to life.Kudos to the wonderful writers for their terrific believable storylines.I am a Canadian and I faithfully watch this show each week, along with many of… Read more »

Love this show!!! I watch it with my boyfriend every week. We laugh and cry 🙂 its the best
Please do not cancel this wonderful family show. This is the only show that has real life stories with no violence. Right now, there are so many series that have lots and lots of violence, what does this do to the kids growing up today. The networks would rather have all of these violent shows. Parenthood is such a down to earth show. I look forward to watch it every week.
LOVE this show. such fine acting. there’s nothing like it on TV. this show is a winner.
This show should be renewed.
This show has changed my life. The way they see things makes me see things differently in my own life. There’s not one episode where I don’t want I cry. I’ve never been so attached to characters. There’s no show like this one and I truly hope they don’t cancel it!
Renew this show. I think its the best show on TV!! Clean cut family oriented. The only show of its kind. Best season ever!! Please renew!!
