Word has come down that CNN is planning to cancel its low-rated news show Paula Zahn Now. Up against Fox News and MSNBC in the very competitive 8pm timeslot, the show often came in third place in total viewers.
Newswoman Zahn has been with the network since September 11, 2001 when she joined anchor Aaron Brown to covering the tragic events of that day. She then hosted a morning program entitled American Morning with Paula Zahn and began hosting Paula Zahn Now in September 2003.
CNN is reportedly trying to woo Weekend Today’s co-anchor Campbell Brown away from NBC to fill the slot. Zahn is expected to leave CNN in the fall when her contract runs out. Stay tuned! 
CNN has certainly gone downhill with the loss of Paula Zahn and Soledad O’Brien. Their replacements do not have the intelligence nor the class of these women. CNN now succumbs to the level of Fox news, which is not held at any level as credible journalism or as a source of fair unbiased news. What a huge disappoinment.
Paula Zahn is sorely missed. She did a superb job at CNN. Cable news is very competitive, but Paula really stood out. Hope to see her very soon on another network.
She was worst journalist I have ever seen, highly unprofessional. I remember evening when she had as guest Dean of University, I?m not sure which one, but they were talking about war in Iraq. Instead as a professional journalist to ask him as many questions that time allows her, she put herself in debate with very clear intension to prove him wrong, translating his meaning different way and putting words in his mouth. I too miss Paula Zahn, I found her style to the point and objective, not at all like Rick Canchez. I’m glad soneone had the good sense to have him replaced. He’s probably saying “who the heck cares? I love me”. Her present replacement isn’t that great either.
YOU HAVE LOST THE MOST VALUABLE ASSET TO CNN, BESIDES ANDERSON COOPER WHEN YOU REPLACED PAULA ZANN, SHE WAS GREAT AND I CAN NOT GET ANY SENSE OF CAMBELL BROWN, SO THEREFORE I GUESS FOX NEWS WILL DO, HERE IN THE CAROLINAS PAULA WAS THE GREATEST ASSET CNN HAD, MAYBE IT WAS NOT HER ,BUT THE MATERIAL YOU PROVIDED HER.

I love CNN, and loved Paula Zahn even more. She was classy, smart and I think a great asset to CNN.What could have happened? Did she leave voluntarily, or did cnn dismiss her? I miss her and looked forward to seeing her every evening at 8 p.m. You’ll never be able to replace her. Every one that you have now can in no way fill Paula’s shoes.
