Cat therapists and Hollywood extras. These are two of the six original series Pilgrim Studios will be launching as part of 1620 Media, their new digital video service.
Founded in 1997 by Craig Piligian, Pilgrim Studios is a TV production company responsible for popular reality series like American Chopper and Dirty Jobs. Now, they’re getting into digital content with 1620 Media, a video platform service that promises content ranging from comedy to documentary and animation.
You can view 1620 Media’s debut original on their website, 1620media.com, or on their YouTube channel. No pay required.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the site will begin with six series that include Barry Bostwick’s parody of Inside the Actors Studio, Inside the Extras Studio, and The Real Cat Therapist of Beverly Hills, which follows a cat doctor who listens to comedians talk about their problems. Other series feature a documentary show about bartending (The Mixology Guys) and a look into the Pasadena Humane Society (Paw Prints). Throughout October and November, 1620 Media will release seven more series.
