– Network Renews Fan-favorite Series for Eighth Season with 10 New Episodes in Fall 2016 –
– Special After Show Hosted by Fox Sports TV Personality and Pit Bull Advocate Jay Glazer to Air Immediately Following 100th Episode from Villalobos Rescue Center –
(New York) – Tia Torres has been the face of pit bull advocacy for more than 20 years and has elevated the discussion of breed discrimination to the national level ever since PIT BULLS & PAROLEES first premiered on Animal Planet in 2009. Throughout the past seven seasons, viewers have witnessed Tia and her family band together to overcome natural disasters, heartbreaking rescues and a cross-country relocation from Los Angeles to New Orleans with hundreds of dogs while they continue to operate a rescue empire – Villalobos Rescue Center – the largest pit bull rescue center in the U.S. Tia has also offered a fresh start to more than 50 parolees and a new lease on life to hundreds of dogs that were discarded, demonized and abused, often due solely to the reputation of their breed. Now, Animal Planet celebrates the 100th episode milestone of PIT BULLS & PAROLEES on Saturday, January 2, at 10 PM (ET/PT). Immediately following the episode, Fox Sports TV personality and pit bull advocate Jay Glazer will catch up with Tia inside Villalobos Rescue Center for an unfiltered look at life behind the scenes with her kids and the dogs she’s fought for and rescued over the past two decades. Additionally, the network announces the renewal of the franchise series, produced by Emmy-nominated 44 Blue Productions, with 10 brand new episodes beginning fall 2016.
With a loyal fan base and a thriving social media presence nearing 1.5 million Facebook fans, PIT BULLS & PAROLEES has inspired a pit bull rescue movement across the country. Beginning at 11 PM (ET/PT), Jay Glazer will host a half-hour special After show event with Tia Torres from Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans. During the intimate discussion, Tia will give viewers the no-holds-barred inside scoop about what it’s like to run the nation’s largest pit bull rescue while she also films the television series at the same time. Throughout the night, fans will have the chance to show off their own pit bulls on air by submitting pictures using #PitBulls100 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
PIT BULLS & PAROLEES is produced for Animal Planet by 44 Blue Productions and Rive Gauche Television. Rasha Drachkovitch, Billy Cooper and Dave Luce are the executive producers for 44 Blue Productions. For Animal Planet, Lisa Lucas is the executive producer, and Patrick Keegan is the producer.
Are you a fan of Pit Bulls & Parolees? Are you happy to see it coming back for a new season next year? Tell us what you think.
Due to this wonderful show-no fear in adopting a gorgeous death row pitbull puppy. Thank you for all you do!
I love the show “Pit Bulls & Parolees “. I didn’t realize that the show might not come back.
If Animal Planet cancels the show I will never watch anything airing on that station.
This show raises awareness of pet overpopulation, how to be a responsible pet owner, it has changed people’s perception of the breed, and helped Pit Bulls to find homes.
Great show, so please renew the series next year too.
I am looking forward to the new season. I have watched the previous seasons so many times, I know them by heart. I wonder why the new season is only10 shows. We want to see more shows, not less.
God bless you, Tia, family, parolees, and volunteers!
I agree the show is great and helps many animals should be on more often
Love the show! Can’t wait for it to come back!
Thank God it’s coming back! The best show on tv!
Is Earl coming back?
I’m so glad the show is coming back. I missed it this summer. Thank you, thank you
So glad for another season !!!! How about seasons 9 & 10?? Thanks to watching Tia- my husband, neighbor and I rescued a beautiful, young brindle female pit bull. I learn so much from watching her which is why when I get some bills paid off I am making a donation. If everyone who watches her and learns something that they can apply to their animal should make a donation. Even if it is only $1.00. I am sure that we can feed a lot of dogs for a long time.
Keep going Tia !!!!

Pitbulls are ALWAYS discriminated against. ALWAYS. Unfairly. This is due to lack of educating people on the breed. It’s as bad as media. How people always believe what they hear and run with it. It’s all too ridiculous. Tia and family are true saints in my book for having the moxie to do something about it and I have so much respect for her. It’s a GREAT show having educational as well as entertaining qualities.
I think the show is real important to show that pits are really good dogs. My jack Russell’s best friend at doggy day care was a pit bull. They had the best time playing together! Owners just need to train their dogs well and with love not meanness!
I want to find out what has happened with Earl. So sorry to see his relapse. Hope he doesn’t lose his house or his job with Tia.
You are not going to believe this but we have 7 birds yes 7 that want Pitts on all tIme they asks for it . We all love you show because you all care about the dogs Thank you so much!
Why were u cancelled????? We need u back
Yes yes yes Tia,and her girls are wonderful loving good hearted and they care deeply for these babies they save fix up retrain and then rehome.I love this show they not only take in Pitts I’ve seen them take in other breeds as well. Tia has a loving soul this is truly her calling. I would like to see them release her husband he would be such a big help. Tia has a big heart for her doggies but at the same time don’t mess her,her girls, nor her babies because she will tell you off quick.Tia keep on and stay… Read more »
