Pose has already been renewed for a third season, but will there be a fourth? Recently, executive producer Ryan Murphy discussed the future of the FX TV show, IndieWire reports.
The drama series takes place in the late ’80s and early ’90s and revolves around several segments of society in New York City — ball subculture, Trump-era excess, and the downtown social and literary scenes. The cast includes Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Indya Moore, Hailie Sahar, Angelica Ross, Billy Porter, Ryan Jamaal Swain, and Angel Bismark Curiel.
During a recent interview in Los Angeles, Murphy revealed that season two of Pose will jump ahead to 1991 for its finale and he envisions the series ending 1996, when AIDS medication became more readily available.
FX has already renewed Pose for a third season. The series is currently airing its second season, which airs its finale on August 20th.
What do you think? Do you watch Pose? How many more seasons do you want?
As many seasons as possible I love it there’s never been anything on TV like it I hope it continues to have season after season. Absolutely wonderful TV show.
This show needs to be an all the way around weekly if not daily soap opera…..I will watch it EVERY single day. One show I will start from the 1st episode just to keep watching. Keep it going
As many as possible
I would love to see a 4th season. Love love love this show
To my surprise I fell in love with Pose. I never thought we would ever see a show like this. The performances of Billy Porter and MJ Rodriguez deserve Emmys. Pose is at once heart breaking and heart lifting. It’s the best drama I’ve seen in years.
Love POSE! One of the best casts on TV!
Come on Mr. Ryan keep my favorite show going for as long as your creative mind can write a good script for it. Hopefully that will be awhile, love this show immensely!
Yes I watch Pose I think it would be appropriate to end in 96 if timelining the beginning of the aids tragedies up to the availability of meds was the goal then yes. But there is so much more that can be covered. The area where the lesbian buthches dated the trans community and had offspring for example. The life of the gay community is an on going prescence that will continue to need fair representation. I bet as soon as he bows out someone else will jump in to try to tell our stories.
I absolutely love this show. Pose is life. I cried at many episodes. I hope Pose is renewed for a 3rd season.
I’d love to see as many seasons as possible. I can relate to so many characters as I have been a part of 2 ‘houses’ & participated in some balls in the past. I feel every black & latino lgbtq person should be watching this show. I only wish that 2 of my dearest friends who have passed away 2yrs ago & in late-2013 could have been able to see the show. They represented the house of Jourdan from NYC & would’ve LOVED the show since it takes places when they were in their prime
I love Pose! Plz don’t take it away! It is our history.
Bring Pose back for a 3rd season. I’ve been watching from the beginning…
I believe Pose can go on for many seasons the lgbt community has always had to fight a on going battle, Just as racism the story never ends. But a great writer as Ryan Murphy can make us all laugh cry an give us a show like no other has been able to do. I remember watching my aunt growing up an the things she went through being a lesbian in late 70’s & 80’s when she came around it was always a party that lead sometimes to a fight but we had a good time. She is now 80… Read more »
I would most absurdly watch several more seasons of this show!
I love this show. I hope it goes on for many seasons more. Intelligently written and very well acted!! I was 15 during that time period. I had no idea what was going on other than hearing about aids. The discrimination then ( and now) is undisputed to the point it really makes me sick!! It’s been a very good education about the gay and transgender community and what they deal with now and then! I hope that people are watching this show because it has a lot of “first.” At least for me…things I didn’t know!! People are people… Read more »
