The Power Rangers will return to the big screen in a big reboot next year, and fans of the franchise are now getting their first look at the villain of the film. Elizabeth Banks has been cast as Rita Repulsa, now fans can see the modern take of the villain that first appeared in The Mighty Morphing Power Rangers in the 1990s.
People Magazine shared a first look photo earlier this week, and Banks’ definitely does not look like the original Rita Repulsa. Check out the photo below.

Banks shared the following about the film and her character:
“It might be his favorite show of all time. It’s definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa. We wanted to give her a backstory that connects her to the new Rangers.”
