The team members on the Pure Genius TV show work together to save lives. It’s a noble cause but will their stories attract enough viewers to bring big ratings? Will this new CBS TV series be cut down in its prime (cancelled) or, will it be renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
Pure Genius follows top medical professionals as they team up with cutting-edge tech experts and try to push the boundaries of modern medicine to save lives. Doctor Walter Wallace (Dermot Mulroney) is a disgraced but brilliant surgeon who is recruited by a young Silicon Valley tech billionaire, James Bell (Augustus Prew). Wallace learns that Bell is harboring a secret and he begins to question just what the young founder is really trying to achieve. Others on the team are played by Odette Annable, Reshma Shetty, Aaron Jennings, Ward Horton, and Brenda Song.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

Please keep this show! Pure Genius is truly “Pure Genius”!!!
My husband and I enjoy the show very much. It’s so different from other medical dramas and the cast is great. It would be wonderful to see it renewed for a 2nd season. Give it a chance – its one of 3 shows we make it a point to watch each week. It’s Intelligent.
Pure Genius is the best show to come along in a long time. Too many crime/drama shows. My wife and I and several friends and relatives all became huge fans of Pure Genius. Can’t understand how CBS executives can possibly think that “Bull” deserves intensive advertising and promotion while Pure Genius is being dropped.
Please keep this “ingenious”, imaginative, and entertaining program (Pure Genius) going into a second season. There is a lot of potential there. I am really enjoying it.
I hope the show continues, it deserves a 2nd season – there have been obvious problems, most notably- setting some form of acceptable “realism” as it’s a medical facility regardless of its independent funding, there still has to be some sanity there. “Inventing” a miracle cure, manufacturing it in a couple hours, then fielding it to a patient with no testing phase for approval – just SO not realistic. We love the show. Please give it a chance for another season.
