What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the OWN cable channel, Queen Sugar stars Rutina Wesley, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Kofi Siriboe, Tina Lifford, Ethan Hutchison, Nicholas L. Ashe, Omar J. Dorsey, Dondré Whitfield, Timon Kyle Durrett, Greg Vaughan, and Marycarmen Lopez. This contemporary drama chronicles the lives and loves of the estranged Bordelon siblings. Following a family tragedy, they reunite in order to save the family sugarcane farm.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Queen Sugar is averaging a 0.42 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.49 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 16% in viewership, respectively. Learn how Queen Sugar stacks up against other OWN TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Based on the ratings thus far, I think OWN will renew Queen Sugar for a third season. I must say, though, if it tanks it the ratings, I reserve the right to change my mind. While I’m always in the mood for a sweet treat, I just don’t see this yummy drama landing on my menu, this season. In the meantime, I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and update this page, from time to time. Subscribe for free updates on any Queen Sugar cancellation or renewal news.

These OWN shows are the best. The story lines are wonderful, and the characters are enchanting and in depth. Even to close to home. Our Family really misses each of these shows and of course the writing is pure genius.
I am not a TV watcher. I love movies, but my Family looked so forward to viewing all of these shows together, watching the reruns, taping missed episodes.
Here’s hoping that the powers that be don’t steal our joy. Mr. T. Perry needs rest but please, don’t destroy a great thing. F.T.Williams
I certainly hope that all the prime time shows on OWN will return. This is basically the only network that I watch and I love all the shows. They all have to to return. PLEASE

I absolutely LOVE QUEEN SUGER it is ONE OFF THE BEST THINGS TO COME ON THE TV it is very authentic and original I CANT WAIT TO SEE SEASON 3 i love everthing about it the story line is surporbe the actors play there role with such charisma and love for the show you can feel it and see it i just cant wait to start watching the 3rd series
Queen sugar is an excellent show needs some serious drama in it though. The brother Ralph Angel needs to get caught for stealing from the cashier. He wanted to tell the truth about the new Will he found but won’t fess up to the stealing. Come on now really give the show a Lil spice in it.
yeah Ralph Angel is kinda whinny at times, and expects too much sometimes. He’s kinda the whiny baby boy..baby brother

Queen Sugar is one of the best shows on TV. The cast is incredible. The story line is totally intriguing. It wouid be a real mistake not to renew it. I just wish it were better known. As good as OWN is, it doesn’t have the following that ABC, NBC and CBS have. I feel fortunate to have discovered QS Season 1. Have great hopes it will be renewed.
